For Timee:
Damien started the set out by himself with "The Professor" which lead into "La Fille Danse." Next was "Older Chests", during which Vyv came out on stage to play with him starting at the chorus. After "Older Chests", Tomo, Shane, and Joel came out. Damien started "Volcano" off on his guitar, but quickly went over to the paino when he started to sing. Tomo helped Damien on the little drum first, then switched over to his set. He used the smaller set that Joel played on during some of the recent US dates. The vibe went from a soft, mellow one to a rockin' one when they all started playing together. Tomo helped Damien at the end of "Volcano" with vocals. Damien took a little break to talk about the weather and how it went from "rain in Ireland to the sunny weather." The weather talk lead to "Grey Room." "Me, My Yoke and I" followed and they rocked out, as usual. Joel helped out with the background noises during the song. Right after was "Elephant" which had a false start due to tuning problems. While he was tuning, someone in the crowd asked where Lisa was and Damien replied, "she's at home recording." Damien jumped on piano to start "Rootless Tree." Afterward, he chit-chatted about not writing many songs in the sun and that lead to "Dogs." "9 Crimes" was played next by everyone instead of the piano verson. And then the familiar chords of "Delicate" started. While Damien was talking before "Never Been in This Place Before" some of the words were bleeped out. Did anyone else catch what he said? Despite that, the song was quite amazing. Damien jumped back on his guitar to play "Cannonball." The band was introduced and the crowd was thanked. "Coconut Skins" seemed to get the crowd involved. Joel helped out with the vocals toward the end of the song. Just when I thought it was the end of the show, Damien started "The Blower's Daughter" which had a few rough chords at the begining. It got so bad that Damien said, "Jesus" and Vyv looked over at him and showed a smile. The band walked off stage and the crowd kept cheering. When they came back on stage, Damien stated that he thought they had gone over their time. He put on his guitar and asked the crowd, "What do you want?" He listened for a second then started on "Woman Like a Man" and Joel helped out with the vocals again. The last song was "Accidental Babies." During the song, Damien's voice sounded raw and with emotion. They played the longer version. Vyv started playing with Damien, then Tomo, Shane, and Joel jumped in. They faded out and Damien ended the song with his piano solo. And that was the end. The band played longer than I thought they would. |

Good set, despite the fact that the stream was cutting in and out for me. Really liked the new song. Glad to see him play Grey Room. Very pretty Accidental Babies.
