This one before Coconut skins from Portland is very funny, not sure if it's been posted. The one about the mirror, you know, look into your eyes and focus on the person in front of you, you start talking with that person : you are the best friend i have, i'm gonna die with you, i've masturbated with you!!!!

^ That remind me that I had this show in which Viv tells the Yoke story instead of Damien. Anyone???? It was soooo funny!! Damien kinda challenges her because she says she knows all the stories.
and the thing is that she tells the wrong story because Damien was about to play Eskimo... Gonna try to find it!!!! |

I found the story I was mentioning before, Vyv telling the Yoke story instead of Damien. It's in the Pittsburgh 2004 bootleg. It's really really funny...
I put it on my 4shared folder so anyone can download & listen: http://www.4shared.com/dir/2208578/4...0/sharing.html |

That is hilarious! But I can't really make out what they say sometimes. Is that Damien saying "bullsh&$! bullsh&$!"?

No, it's before Groovin, I just listened to it. But I agree, it's one of my favourites.

I think Damien tells the same story himself before Yoke in the Amsterdam show that is available at Fabchannel. I think he also tells the Amie story, and also talks briefly about Elephant, explaining that it's the last song he's written...
Check www.fabchannel.com then type Damien Rice. |

lol, thanks for hosting the Vyvienne Yoke story.
wonder which version of the Eskimo story he would have told? the other week in Marlay Park he said he wrote Eskimo after he'd thrown his friend's guitar against the wall when he was fustrated. previously i've heard him say he wrote it when he was on tour with juniper; and im pretty sure also he once said he wrote it just as he was about to leave the band. none of the stories contradict each other exactly, but I do find it odd that theyre never the same each time he tells it. he obviously doesn't want to give too much away. |

His friend who owned the guitar was Paul Noonan, his bandmate from Juniper.
