It's quite simply the greatest concept album about one man's unrequited love for Anne Frank ever recorded. An incredible mixture of technically simple songs augmented by of otherworldly sounds which bleed into each other, and with beautiful, evocotive lyrics about falling bombs, reincarnation, two headed boys, ghosts, seman stained mountaintops and all sorts of other groovey things.

The naturalness, rawness of the album, the cwazy lyrics, the passion in Jeff's voice...and so on and so on...

Plus, like all good indie albums, it has trumpets!

F*CK YOU who didn't tell me about this album before, it's wonderful! It's everything I like about damien, but with larger cohonas - and trumpets!

god - i remember when that album came out, but i had no idea it was that long ago. makes me feel old.
