Haha.. yeah, I thought it was pretty atrocious but... apparently it's having a good effect? Falling Slowly and the Once soundtrack are climbing back into the iTunes charts.
#4 on the US Soundtrack charts (#5 in Canada, #1 in Finland, but I doubt that's to do with American Idol) The whole thing was kinda surreal yesterday. Quote:

and if you haven't heard it, then go and hear it. its good!

no one posted the news about the new album and tour, so...
it's here at last...no, im not talking about the glorious sunshine that we've had this past few days in ireland (although, that is rather pleasant!), but the day when i announce the first touring dates to support the forthcoming album.... we all want to start here in ireland before going anywhere else.... [...] america for late sept/oct. europe for november/dec for this year at least. and the new swell season album featuring the frames will see a release date late september worldwide according to Hotpress, the release date is September 25 |

don't really know why but surprisingly The Frames are at #57 on the US I tunes with Falling Slowly from The Cost album!!! The version from the Once soundtrack credited to Glen & Marketa is also re-entering but lower in the charts. So far more than 400,000 downloads in the US...
NE 57 FRAMES FALLING SLOWLY 27,347 (Total: 56,769) RE 128 HANSARD*GLEN & MARKETA IRGLOVA FALLING SLOWLY 11,801 (Total:407,872)

Marti, it was because of So You Think You Can Dance - they used The Frames version of Falling Slowly for one of the dances, and then again for one of the "last night on SYTYCD" montages for the results show.
