Recording of Swell Season from Boston 11-21 - EFriends only!
Hey E-Friends!
I caught the Swell Season and a recording of them the other night in Boston at the Orpheum. It came out great. I just wanted those who are interested in them, have been helpful of with my other posts to get a raw / pre-torrent version. It's located in the same spot my usual raw damien recordings are put. Many of you have the information. Feel free to grab the raw version of the show! It was fantastic. Anyone who hasn't downloaded damien stuff that I've done in the past should just send me a personal message. Please, NO posting of the download information here. Let's keep it in close to our community. I want you all to have the ability to download it as EFriends without the entire world in on this preview. daveydave

Thanks for the shows everyone! I just saw them yesterday in Toronto and "amazing" just doesn't even cover the tip of the iceberg.
I have one video up for now - 1 (and a half) more, and pictures coming soon! |

^ This defines awesome...
(although Marketa should do something with her stage presence, she feels a bit like 12-year old at a mothers' day school show...)

It's kind of part of her charm though. Seeing her live, you're just left stunned at how effortless it looks for her. She has this naturally gorgeous tone to her voice. And she's really tiny, and still pretty shy. Friendly, but shy.
The set list for the Toronto show: Say It To me now All The Way Down Lies This Low Drown Out When Your Mind’s Made Up Fantasy Man Falling Slowly Leave What Happens When The Heart Just Stops Lay Me Down Into The Mystic Encore Once Blue Shoes (colm solo) If You Want Me Star Star > Oh Holy Night (Marketa singing! Definitely a highlight for me) > Christmas Time In The Mountains (Joe singing! Another highlight!) What a way to end the show... Last edited by srahman24; 11-26-2007 at 12:55 AM. |

OK. Last post and then I'm officially getting back to dealing with my mid-terms.
Pictures are up on facebook and flickr, whichever you prefer... A couple of my favorites: ^Set list complete with self-portrait by Glen And a few friends of mine , gave Glen and Marketa a pair of paintings they made! Aren't they brilliant? Two more videos are up on youtube: short clip of Fantasy Man, and Lay Me Down |

if u knew how much she changed in the last ten months Rai, u'd be surprised.... she got more confident and it is good to see...she is very young and shy but she is getting there so it is not fair judging her also it is very fecking hard to have a stage presence beside glen in all fairness...he claims the whole stage to himself bless him and he knows god damn well how to work it they nicely compliment to each other methinks

^ I can imagine, she's so young... (Argh, I can only imagine and I need another two years before getting my degree and moving to Ireland...)

Thank you all with the setlists and srahman24 for the pics!!!!!! ... they´re very good!!!!!
Isn´t she like 19 o so ??? ... ... And i agree, i think part of the charm of these two is in Marketa´s shyness and Glen´s A-mmmmmmmmazing presence ... it just works!

Glen does really have great presence...the audience just loves him!
when i saw them in Austin a few weeks ago, someone in the audience asked him to sing justin timberlake's "cry me a river" (which he had recorded for the Even Better Than The Real Thing album). It took him a minute to remember it, but it was pretty much awesome! someone posted the video on youtube, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g_KulfYM2A it's kinda awesome...you should watch it! |

the audience just DID NOT want to leave...they did 3 encores, and he really didn't know what else to do... it was really fun though, we all got sing along for a good 10 minutes, if pay attention at the end of the video and the recorder is leaving, he's still on stage singing! one of the best shows i've ever been too! it was FREEZING but so worth it! |

Thank you Mitten!
Thank you for the heads up on my PM message being at it's max. I thought it was strange not to get some PM's today after having several yesterday.
I am going to save or delete the old PM's. For anyone who wanted to contact me, try again. And...your friendly thank you (s) are always appreciated! dave Quote:
