Not necessarily. If you're born near the end of the year like in Damien's case, and let's assume 1973 is correct, then he's still 30... till December.

I think he told Katinka that he was 32 last year when she met him and I heard that elsewhere, too. That would make him 33 now and 34 inDecember later this year.
