Saw Damien et al on Monday. They were excellent. I thought the crowd were really quiet much more so than Ryan Adams last month. Anyway i recorded the whole show and it came out really nicely (i also have a boot of Ryan's show). So once i've mastered it if anyone wants a copy let me know. I can't put it on FLAC/mp3 or stuff like that but if anyone wants to once they have a copy feel free. |

This is now being shared on the hub: http://www.damohub.org/ for information on how to connect, etc.
Big thanks to the taper, Nick, for allowing me to share this. I really appreciate it. I was actually at this gig, the first (and so far, only) time I saw Damien. I was blown away (in fact this show is ultimately the reason I started the hub). This is probably only the second ever gig I've been to, where the audience were completely silent... with total respect for the band. The atmosphere was electric. For the last song, Hallelujah, Damien sat on the edge of the stage, guitar unplugged... during this song, somebodys mobile phone went off... the audience mumbled disapproval... damien changed the lyrics... "hallelujah for mobile phones"... the audience erupted with laughter. Yeah... it was a great gig :-) best regards, stephen |
