Can someone please educate a naive American to Irish Lingo...What is a blower? And is 'O' a real story. In addition (sorry) is there any links that can take me to interpretations of Damien's songs. I get the general idea, but I would like to know more. E-mail me...http://<a href="mailto:tasha85@earth...thlink.net</a> Much Thanks, ~Natasha

Natasha, 'Blower' is not Irish lingo... it's just a description... the blowers daughter is a slightly criptic way of saying the daughter of his flute teacher... at least I think it was a flute... anyway, damien fancied her daughter when he was younger and taking lessons... hence the song. The story of O you might see discussed in another thread on this board... it's a famous errotic story... there is a discussion in the Damien Rice string called 'something a little dirrrty' and the possible meanings of the song are discussed there... Also, feel free to post specific questions about any of the songs meanings and we'll all put in our ideas <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley1.gif"> |

in fairness to wheels, he does appear to know everything there is to know bout mr. rice-he deserves the platinum title I reckon. Even if the extent of his knowledge could be perceived as...well, somewhat frightening...only messing. <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley2.gif">
