I'm thinking about asking my honey for tickets to the May 3
show for my birthday, but when I checked, there were only seats available in the loge and up. Has anyone been to the Beacon before? How is it in general? Are the loge seats decent? I happily admit to being a concert snob - if I'm going to pay good money and take a day off from work, I don't want to sit so far back that the performer's just a speck, and I don't want to be surrounded by people who are only there to drink and talk. |

The Beacon's pretty small, but it gets...more interesting the higher up you go. In the upper balcony I can almost guarantee there will be people smoking pot. People tend to talk more the farther away they are from the stage. That said, one of the most amazing concerts I saw there was Sigur Ros and I was in the absolute last row of the upper balcony. I, too, am a bit of a concert snob, so I understand the concern. |
