Just wanted to say I downloaded all of Damien's song yesterday after hearing about him on Letterman and I'm in love. He has one date in the US until the fall, I'm gonna try and head out to see him. I just ordered his CD and can't wait to get it.

You guys in Ireland are lucky to see him all the time Hopefully he'll be touring more in the US!

I think it's very unfair to generalize an entire country like that.

And when did my thread turn into an American bashing party? haha

well, well mickie, getting a bit hot under the collar are we,firstly,i like potatoes,i find them to be a very healthy side portion to any meal, secondly, donkeys are fine creatures who just get a lot of bad press and thirdly,it is sadly the case that some of us are,and i quote,"countrymen",what with 21% of the inhabitants of this fine island living in rural areas,so mickotoole,i can safely say i dont give a flying fu*k what anyone thinks, mmmkay?

So if 21% of everyone lives in the country then it is OK to generalise and say that everyone in Ireland is a Bog Hopping countryman. It seems that is the case according to your logic. I have to admit that a lot of Americans are loud and obnoxious but you can't tar everyone with the same brush. Mmmkay

naturally, there have been exceptions to the stupid fat american rule, nothing is 100% certain,i look at frank sinatra, james stewart, ali and matt groening and i say wahay, thats pretty damn impressive but it still seems that america produces an enormous amount of morons, and its not the american people that i am resentful towards as such,it is the american mentality that they are the best in the world and are the rightful "protectors" of this planet, that isnt to say that we irish people dont think we are great and have a great image but in fact we are just kidding ourselves in our badly run country that is driven by peoples desire to look after number one,i think this irish self absorbed personality has benn imported from americans and that is another thing i would hold against them....i will be signing new copies of das kapital in easons next tuesday....mmmkay

If your country adopted the "self absorbed" persona from America how do you explain where you got the "whining" from?

ahh no,the whining is just a personal trait of mine, some find it cute, others try and kill me.talking of whining noises i hear the american army has developed their bombs now so they dont worry those silly civilians before they obliterate them, what thoughtful bast*rds, maybe we should give them a f*cking medal.

Jesus!!

I just left another message board where there was sl*gging of Americans!!!!!

Whats the story here? We're all Damien Rice fans and this isnt a site for political debate. Not when its getting so serious anyway!! The "Wooden Planks"check out this site after hearing about Damo and all they're getting is bitching Irish fans moaning about politics!

Dont mind'em Lisa!! (ps:Witnness was class! )

just read your f*cking post dan. im raging i missed it....i guess i was too busy american-loving....eh?? or maybe i was too busy having a good time for a WHOLE 5 MONTHS thanarguingwith people who werent near a computer to defend themselves...

yes Dan you spa.im a LIMERICK girl living in new jersey and im having a greattime. i am also looking forward to going back to Limerick.i live in avery nice part of Limerick in a nice house and thank f*ck away from tools like you. it'ssad that people think thatLimerick is a terrible place but thenagain it's not surprising that it's coming from you.....you being as WORLDLY as you are.

contrary to what you said Dan no i didnt want to change your view to be honest your view means sh*t all to me. i just wanted tocalm down the b*tchycomments you've been putting off in here andmaybesome of the americans you've driven off.

if everyone takes your view as the general view of the irish then what a rude and ignorant race we are. because that's what you're doing isn't it?? taking one example of an american and using it as your definition of the whole country?if they tookyou fortheir example americans would probably think we're complete asses.

calm the hell down dan you're starting to sound ridiculous andidiotic. are you going to argue with the whole discussion forum until someone agrees with you?word ofadvice Danis get your head out of your own ass for a minuteand take a few deep breaths....and grown the f*ck up.

Ps: glad you had a good time at witness Dar.(look dan a smilie face!!!)
