As the title says. I think there'll be some unique performances that night that would be pity to go unrecorded.

Is it as simple as a mini-disc player and decent mic pointed at the speaker. What kind of min/max distance do you need to be from the speakers? </font>

Well, it's not ideal, but it'll work. And generally the closer you are to a speakers the better (though cheap mics will make their cheapness very apparent if you're too close).
I think that kind of set up is all we can hope for at this show. |

Get a decent mic, if you can! Oh, that would be cool if you could record it, Daragh!

Maybe Tomo will record it and sell it to raise more money for the fund? Would people pay for a proper recording?

I don't see why not. Lisa has an amazing voice. Plus a "surprise performance" from Damien, would be worth it - especially since the Brit nomination. Am going and I've got a good vibe about it - I know I'll be hunting for a bootleg when I get back...

I always happily pay for charity CD's. Not that I seek them out, but I bought the 1997 Irish 'Liss Ard Vol 1' (which I love to pieces!) and most recently the 'Warchild: Hope', a UK release that benefits the children effected by the war in Iraq.
I wonder if Tomo can find a sponsor to produce a charity CD? Though that's quite a project, of course. Who knows if he has the time to get that going. |
