I have a friend with chrons disease and it doesn't seem to stop him at all. I know a bit about it but the sites above are probably more informative. Dont worry about it too much.

Hi Lonelilly This website has some info and advice as well... http://www.digestivedisorders.org.uk/index.htm and if you do a search on Google it will bring up lots of info. I can relate a bit as Gluten/wheat intolerance runs in my family. Similar symptoms to Crohns-tired,weight loss, painful tummy, etc. It makes life a bit tricky but I feel so much better after being diagnosed and following a special diet. The Doctorswill tell you what foods to avoid and put you on specific drugs if you have Crohns. Please don't be scared as the Doctors will help you all they can and try to make you feel much better. Thinking of you, Libby x |

my aunt and friend have chrons disease and they're grand. its totally manageable so long as you know that you have it, so if you get it diagnosed you'll be grand sure!

The singer of one of my favourite bands....Glassjaw(from new york), his name's Daryl Palumbo and he has Crohns disease, i think its got something to do with the intestines or the stomach, but it doesnt stop him touring the world and releasing kick-ass albums. All the best, im sure you'll be grand

My boyfriend has been in the hospital three times in the last seven
years. All of the sudden he just seems to have really bad stomach pain and general discomfort. They have not been able to diagnose him, they say that chrones disease takes a long time to positively diagnose. Basically you have to have so many bouts with it before they can be sure. He's fine though, it just seems that every few years he gets stomach problems and spends a few weeks in the hospital. There are varying degrees too. I wouldn't worry if I were you, many people live just fine with it, it's manageable. |

i was watching this hospital show a few nights ago and it turns out that a girl on it was sick and they guessed she had chrons disease so i picked up a few things and thought i'd write them here... apparently its inflammation of the intestines in the stomach, which i guess brings cramps andthe girl was told to STAY AWAAAAAY from caffeine, i don't know why but they didn't really seem to be too worried about her, so thats good! except she had a bad case of the runs and one of the guy doctors ended up with a crush on her!! it turns out she didn't have it but she really had some sort of clot from flying!! (but don't worry, its an awful show!!)
