Is anyone taping anymore??
Have bootlegs just stopped for the new tour? I have yet to see one! Am I just looking in the wrong place and if I am can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I think given the size of some of the venues, as well as having large general admission areas it makes it hard for people to tape. Also, the tour just began, give it a few weeks and check back again.

I couldn't sleep tonight...as usual, so I was Wiki'n it up and decided to wikipedia damien. After reading this thread, I came across this and was wondering if anyone had seen it or BETTER YET...heard him sing it. Anyway, I have been guilty of taking pictures and I've yet to tape...well, anything worth sharing. But I'd hate to think that he doesn't appreciate it! Here is what he said:
In recent years, with the increase of digital cameras and mobile phone cameras, Rice has stopped mid-song to ask the audience members to simply watch the concert rather than record it. At a gig in Toronto in 2006, he changed the lyrics of his song, "I Remember" from "I remember it well, taxied out of a storm, to watch you perform, and my ships were sailing" to "I remember it well, when we used to watch concerts, not through a camera, please turn, them off please".

OHHH....btw, it's SO exciting to see another Iowan Damien Rice fan...even with his stuff popping up on shows lately and the likes...it still seems I am introducing Damien to people. Nobody knows who he is, and the ones that do...I shoved him down their throats, and that's how they know. heh...right on, fellow Iowan...right on.

Ha.. I was at the Toronto show where he said that. Although, I don't remember it going exactly like that...
He sang "I remember it well, when we used to watch concerts, not through a camera" with a little chuckle, and people kept taking pictures and video's anyways and he didn't stop anyone or mention it again. He was actually in really good spirits the entire show! We got lots of adorable banter
