Thumbs up Pedestrian (Joel Shearer)

i will be never tired to suggest to everyone their music..
www.pedestrianmusic.org
they are great and joel is fantastic..
their last album is ghostly life.. something that you need to have in your cds shelves.. (such as the others too - the acoustic and the electric ones eheheh)..

They played one song when I saw them supporting Damien at Vicar Street which was absolutely immense. Loads of great guitar effects on a loop pedal. It was epic

I don't know if Damo was there last night, but when Pedestrian played at the Hotel Cafe in August, he was in the audience...

Pedestrian Rocks

That's EXACTLY why I call him Joel "guitar god" Shearer.

Pedestrian are playing a live session at DrumChannel.com this Thursday at 6pm Pacific Time...

if you want to watch it online:
http://www.drumchannel.com/entertainment/39028.aspx

or if someone is near Oxnard, CA and wants to attend in person, it is invitation only so email the band and they will put you on the guest list

So, did you watch it? I would have loved to, but I just couldn't get out of bed in the middle of the night...

Haven't seen them yet. Those songs would be a blast live and I really want to catch them, but it hasn't worked out with my schedule. Hopefully in the new year when they play more shows.

I got better mics last year. I've only seen Pedestrian once since then -- first time using the new mics and I totally ****ed up the tape. Everything else I've taped with the new gear sounds better than ever and I can't wait to use them with Pedestrian or Desktop Rulers.

i can't wait to hear how the new gear sounds... please let us know if you tape a pedestrian or desktop rulers show in the future! i really like the ep and would love to hear some live version, but nothing good has been posted on youtube so far...

are you the same faninor from the OLP fandom? i think i stumbled upon your nickname a few times on some pedestrian-unrelated forum... clumsymonkey and youtube, probably... if it's you, the world is really small isn't it...

That's me -- I was introduced to Pedestrian when Joel toured with OLP in 2005-2006 and he played an opening set of Pedestrian songs with Jeremy, Duncan, and Steve from OLP.

oh yes, i remember that! it was the opposite for me... I was introduced to OLP thanks to the Joel connection...

and speaking of pedestrian, just out of curiosity... are you sharing any 2009 show? the last i got from you is the one with the "wrong fruit" new song, I think it is from august 2008 at molly's...

Almost! Our Lady Peace.

As for which Pedestrian shows I've been to/taped since that August 2008 one, this is it:

2009-06-28 Knitting Factory, Hollywood
o The Abundance Of
o Plucked
o Brain on a Stick
o Overwhelmed
o Blow Against the Wind
o Go
o Silent Faces

That one's a trio show, and where I ruined the recording by setting the levels poorly. Bummer too since it is the only time I've seen them play Plucked, and only time I've heard The Abundance Of with the full band. I can post it if you'd like, but the sound is very poor except during quieter moments.

2009-04-09 Saint Rocke, Hermosa Beach
o Covered in Grey
o Blow Against the Wind
o Go
o Storm
o Brain on a Stick
o Shape of a Pocket
o Overwhelmed
o Silent Faces

Good show. I haven't shared this one yet. I received a soundboard tape from someone else so I'm going to mix it with my audience tape before I put it online.

2008-11-01 Lestat's West, San Diego
o Ghostly Life
o Blow Against the Wind
o Go
o Playing God
o Overwhelmed
o This Pretty Girl
o Brain on a Stick
o Silent Faces

The sound in this little venue is incredible. I thought I had posted this one, but maybe not on dimeadozen.
