I spoke to him and was a bit shocked, we talked about the new album(on which he was forthcoming to an extent) Then I said thank you to him, for everything-bein my inspiration to play guitar and write songs, and helpin me thru d tough times. He looked and said, "Wow. Thanks man. Means a lot." Then an embrace, and I made my excuses and left. Wow. But the highlight of the day was the excellent performance from the Frames. best concert I was ever at.

huhh huhhh huhh *drool*, that was SO excellent. the frames were amazing and then damo came on stage and just topped it off... even tho it didn't need topping off... it was class. here's a setlist that someone posted on the frames site: 1. lay me down 2. revelate 3. Finally 4. Happy 5. God Bless Mom 6. Fake 7. Your Face 8. Rent Day Blues 9. Pavement Tune 10. Monument 11. Hollocaine with guest rapper Berny 12. Perfect Opening Line/ Billy Jean.. 13. Fitzcarraldo 14. Star Star 15. The Blood 16. Angel at my Table 17. The Blower's Daughter/Creep(radiohead) (glen started playing it.. took about 2 seconds for the crowd to explode, before damo walked out, got handed the guitar by glen, and sang) 18. Heyday 19. Where is My Mind (the pixies "just cos we're fans") 20. Red Chord (with a wee bit of heydey again) also during the blowers daughter and heyday the big screens were showing video footage of mic christopher and lisa hannigan in new york.

Our photos of the Frames set... (No Damien though - He looked too much like a Guatemalan potato picker to waste photos on)

I can't believe it. Its bad enough knowing BellX1 and the Frames on the same stage but when I heard Damo played a few songs, I nearly started crying. I hope i win one of the signed b-sides that HotPress were giving away, i entered about 50 times.

there was a sell-out crowd of 17,000 people... i managed to get into the pit (was there at 11:30) Most incredible gig of my entire life i actually nearly DIED when damien came on-stage... it was just AMAZING!! oh! i wonder if the dude who was beside me in the pit is here... it was such an amazing gig. i'm really jealous of loads of the people i heard about who met him. my friend got there real late and was waaay back but said he walked past damien i heard him say to the left of the pit, i ran out of the pit and started looking around like a mad-woman, then i realised that my friend had said "to the right of the tshirt stand closest to the stage" dunno how i got them mixed up... but if you looked through the cracks in the kinda barrier thing they had up beside the stage you could see everyone hanging out... the security people had a great laugh at me cause i was screaming at my friends "OMG! there's paul... i LOVE him". but i did say to a few people i expected damien to be there cause of his connection with bell x1 and the frames... But it actually was just so unbelievable when damien walked on... i think glen was kinda p'd off cause everyone was shouting "damo, damo, damo..." for ages after he left and i glen was probably thinking. this is MY gig! anyways.. it was a great gig and i pity the people who didnt get to go but there'll be other chances... fear not!!
