This has got to die Emaj7/G# This has got to stop F#m7 This has got to lie down Am6 Someone else on top E You can keep me pinned Emaj7/G# 'Cause it's easier to tease F#m7 But you can't paint an elephant Am6 Quite as good as she EG# She may cry like a baby F#mAm6 And she may drive me crazy EAF#m B ‘Cause I'm lately lonely E So why'd you have to lie Emaj7/G# I take it I’m your crutch F#m The pillow in your pillowcase Am6 Is easier to touch E When you think you sin Emaj7/G# You fall upon your knees F#m Living in your picture Am6 You still forget the breeze E G# And she may rise if I sing you down F#mAm6 And she may wisely cling to the ground EAF#B Cause I'm lately horny EAF#B So why would she take me only... F#m A F#m B E This has got to die Emaj7/G# This has got to stop F#m7 This has got to lie down Am6 Someone else on top it goes something like that...even thought i don't know the chord fingerings, if anyone does, please post them.

^SAID, "SIAD" YOU CAN TELL SHE'S FROM BLACKBURN!! (don't know how i figured that out) WELL, CHARLOTTE, IF I WERE TO PLAY A CHORD ON THE GUITAR WITHOUT THE CAPO, SAY "E". AND THEN PUT THE CAPO ON, SAY, THE FIFTH FRET, BY PLAYING THE SAME CHORD, THE SOUND IT PLAYS IS NOW AN "A" CHORD, BASICALLY. THERE'S LOADS OF STUFF YOU CAN DO WITH IT. THAT'S WHY I NEED IT BACK!!! WITHOUT ITI CAN'T PLAY, CANNONBALL, THE PROFESSOR, AMIE AMY (HOWEVER ITS SPELT), COLD WATER, DELICATE, I REMEMBER... DAMIEN'S REALLYDEPENDANTON HIS CAPO!!

I just found this thread but to anyone else that has learned the song does he play chords at the neck or does he use barre chords?

Never seen this thread before, either. I haven't actually sat down and learnt this song and I haven't got the song here now,but I believe Damien plays most of these chords "at the neck" (as you call it), but my guess is that he plays the G# the B and theF#chords with a barré. As for the Emaj7/g# I do believe it wouldsound better without the major 7 and played like this (forthose of you who don't know/g# means that g# should be played ona bass string as the lowest note in the chord) (From low to high): E/g#: 4 2 2 1 0 0 I finger this chord with my pinky on the low E string. Also: The B chord should be with a barré in the second fret and not the first as suggested above and an Am6 is not played as described above (if Damien actually plays a Am6 I am not sure of since I do not have the song here now, but to me it sounds better with a normal Am - I'll write down an Am6 anyway, so you can judge for yourselves): B: X 2 4 4 42 Am6: X 0 3 2 1 0 As a last comment on the chords in the professor's post: I don't think Damien ever plays a F# in this song. I do believe they are all F#m or perhaps F#m7 (again: Have not got the song here now). Hope this helps Ian and congratulation with 1000 posts!!!
