Lisa's Band

Was at the Swell Season gig last night at the National Concert Hall.
There was no Shane! No bass player at all. Anyone know was he at the previous gigs?

I know there are occassional additions to the live band with Vyvienne, Cora Venus Lunny etc...but this is the first full band i've seen without Shane. Has he moved along? Gone back to working with Damien perhaps?!

Also...Damien was there in the audience. I didn't see him until after the interval so don't know if he saw Lisa's performance...

I think you'll find he'll be back in a couple of weeks...

No was sitting right beside him he skipped Lisa's performance

Damien & Lisa should do some collaboration in the future. I miss those times when they're still working together. They have so much chemistry!

They had indeed. But if you take the time to go through the interviews with Lisa that have been posted here since she started her solo career where she talks about how he dumped her you'll see why this'll never happen. They were great together but I think she's better off without him (just my humble opinion). Ever since she's gone solo I haven't seen a single picture of her on which she's not smiling, and she is an amazing musician, so very different from Damien.
I don't know what happened between them that made Damien act the way he did but no matter what he thought the whole thing clearly turned out in Lisa's favour and I say rightly so! She is too good to stand in someone else's shadow!

i know! i was kind of surprised to not see shane.
