^^I generally refer to actors by their previous roles. Why bother learning their names?

i wasn't expect to like cougar town, but since it's produced by bill lawrence, i gave it a shot. the first episode wasn't so good, but the second was hillarious! the photo montage scene was so funny, I had tears on my face from all the laughing

V is only running for 4 episodes then taking a break from its probable 13 episode first series ...and just to prove that Lost & Flash Forward are nothing alike, they created a venn diagram to prove their point;

^^^ Love the Venn Diagram. I am liking Flash Forward too. The second episode sucked me in more than the first.
Also glad that Brothers and Sisters is back. |

How old was the girl? 14? No, she was 16, almost 17! Oh, that's not so bad... Polanski was much worse... I've loved Jason Schwartzman since the film Rushmore... Ted Danson is great in this show too, hope he shows up on Curb this season as well. |

"She could breast-feed a creche"
I'm thinking about buying some more british (or irish) comedy series, after re-watching Phoenix Nights and Father Ted.
I've heard that Black Books should be good (?) and it is co-written by Father Ted's writer Graham Linehan, too, so that makes me curious. Plus, after watching a Black adder youtube episode, posted by Rai, I'm convinced about getting the new Ultimate Collection with all seasons. Should I go for it? Any other suggestions? It's so weird, the older I get, the more my humour ripes, kinda like wine... Last edited by Hendrik; 10-17-2009 at 10:42 PM. |

Just watched the unaired pilot of Dollhouse. Of course it would have been much better then the first half of the first season. It could even have been a good show, too bad it got off-balance and now it's pretty much falling head-first into a tank full of angry badgers.
Although, I've heard that Summer Glau will make an appearance pretty soon, and she could theoretically save it. After all, she killed a few dozen reavers single-handedly a few years ago.

^But I do think this 2nd season is pretty good though?
^^ yes Henders, Blackadders is classic - forget that Mr Bean ****, this is Rowan Atkinsons best work Yeah Black books is quite fun too and with some funny actors. Of course I will always recommend Monty Python's flying circus, and Bottom, if you like your humor a little on the crude side.

^I have my issues. The first episode was awesome, but the two that came after didn't really add anything to the mix. Also, I found myself fast forwarding through the Echo bits to get to the parts I can be interested in.

^well fastforwarding is certainly not gonna help your general impression of an epi! :-O
Yeah I agree the s2 first epi was the best so far.

^Yeah I know I know, but then if you miss something it might just get even more boring later on.
I haven't seen the latest epi yet (is there one this week? My boyf is shooting a film this week so my supply is down to 0%) but if they are doing too much 'story of the week' it gets a little snoozy, I admit. Alas, this sjhow could've been so much beeter w/o Fox...and probably also a little better with someopne else playing Echo (sorry Eliza, but you keep shaking your head that way every time you speak on screen, it' s really annoying.)

^For some reason, there was no new episode last Friday. You should get your hands on the unaired pilot, it's an interesting watch.
And yeah, Eliza Dushku is lame.

Oh i don't like describing otherwise sympathetic people like that, but yeah - she's no great actress that's for sure.
Oh, I have watched every episode there is to see also the unaired pilot. I live with a Whedonmaniac. I also really recommend you see the unaired last epi of s1, did you see it? SO good. Almost worth watching all of season 1, including the popstar episode (now THAT's what I call L A M E !!!!)

^If she didn't have a lead role in a Whedon series that should be good but is not, I could ignore her being a bad actress and actually like her. I find her Albanian roots rather cool after all.
Yes, the unaired episode 13 was really good. I wish they would reach that storyline sometime soon. Don't mention the popstar episode. Just don't.

OK I am 1/4 German, you like that too?
I dont think we should expect anything like that happening while the show's on Fox. If ever. Would be cool with an apilogue to this season too though. I don't care if it looks like video, I just want good content. I think epi 13 is the first time i realized something was really a zombie movie, and liked it for it POP STAR EPISODE POP STAR EPISODE POP STAR EPISODE. Muahahahahaha Yeah Joss Whedon should NEVER have let his brother and sister-in-law- make that one. It smells.

i was gonna give up on flashforward (not-ralph fiennes' acting sucks!) but since charly's is back on tv, i'll give it another try. but honestly i don't have much hope for that show, i miss lost
community is good too, but it has its weak moments. same with cougar town but cc is waaaay to loud, i understand elle mcpherson now

^^^I'm sorry, only small nationalities can apply for inherent coolness (with the exception of Indians).
That's a nice concept, following the future with the last episode of each season. That would need more then two seasons, though. And you want to be named cool? Seriously? After such acts of cruelty? ^^ I enjoy Flashforward, even though the bird thing was just plain silly. It has Zoe, an evil hobbit and Harold in it, so It can't be that bad.

the concept is plain dumb but bill lawrence, the producer, has a very particular style. with scrubs, the show was silly-funny, but it had a structuralism-based style, that's why i loved scrubs so much. i mean, it had a very complex and smart structure filled with silly jokes tearful moments and sometimes very silly plots. so far cougar town is very simple, nowhere near scrubs but i'm really hopeful about it
this clip is just silly but really funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOK5H2y69BY
