Late in posting my review, but several highlights. Ronan was intense and I loved the "fine looking lass" song ending to Trusty and True and how the choir just appeared. And disappeared. He was so silly and adorable. Self-deprecating, as usual, but really funny. So cute that he told himself to shut up, but I loved the chattiness. The waking up Shahzad part was hilarious. Want to look into Kila shows to continue my Irish obsession. Wish I stayed behind with the alley crew for hugs!!
The My Bubba girls and Sonja who sang on volcano had good voices, but I have to admit that I don't like other people singing Lisa's parts in songs. I just want him to sing them alone. Also funny that he found the Whitest (most Caucasian?) choir in Harlem because it would have been nice to see some local flavor. The Apollo was beautiful! Much smaller than it looks on TV. I'm so lucky to have seen these 4 shows (maybe 5 if i get to go to the Brooklyn show), but sad the tour and reports are over (give me miles and miles of mountains, but I'll ask for the sea...). So happy that he loves NY though. Big announcement coming up, according to facebook so maybe we'll get 2015 tour info this week. Thank you for the other reports and recording! Have fun with him,Toronto and Montreal! Last edited by InspirationDestination; 11-29-2014 at 06:13 AM. |

He really loves that hat and cardigan. It's the same one from his Instagram photo.

I agree completely. I really don't like it either, especially in I Remember or Cold Water.

^ I agree too, just himself is fine to sing those parts.

I didn't mind My Bubba's contribution since they sounded different enough. To me, Sonya just sounded like she was trying to sing Volcano exactly as Lisa had, which made me notice her absence. I wish she'd just made it her own more.

Her voice was lovely, but her performance just didn't feel right to me. I mentioned it to friends we went out with after the show and they felt the same. |

I got my brother in to the show. He hasn't really listened to Damien ever, but he texted me with "I enjoyed that more than I thought I would." Made my night.
And thank you Mike and Dawno for the recording. Downloading now! |

Mike this is GREAT for being almost in the back row. Thank you so much for recording. And I've totally been there when I'm recording and sick and trying so hard not to cough. You did a great job. Thumbs up.

That was an insane version of I Remember. I wish he could bring those girls on his next tour and do it like that every time. So cool.

God I wish My Bubba would go into the studio with him and record I Remember. This version is incredible.

Sonya Kitchell is a singer but what she's done not much more than a girl pick from the crowd
