muppet christmas carol - such a nice take on a classic story
donnie darko - it's scary but it makes you think
love actually - okay so i do like it.... it made me cry last time i saw it
Thewm films rules exspecially Muppets xmas carol and Love actually i always cry on this bit...
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around. "

And

"Say its Carol singers. With any Luck, by next year. I'll be going out with one of these girls... *shows a collection of models*. But for now let me say, Without hope or agenda Just because its christmas (and at christmas you tell the truth) To me, you are perfect. And my wasted heart will love you. Until you look like this... *shows a old woman* Merry Christmas. 'He walks of down the middle of the alley, and she runs up behinds him, and kisses him on the lips, she smiles and runs back in, and he just walks of and says... - Enough Now."

That has to be one of the best bits i have ever seen in a movie!!! its beautiful, it soo sad aswel!!

That is so hard to decide, cos there are so many. But if I have to I'd say "Shining", I guess. Just because it's perfect, it's so breathtaking and deep that you could watch it over and over again. From more 'modern' films I'd choose prolly "Before sunrise/sunset". Jesse and Celine just rule.
