A recap: The band played the three songs with interviews in between, similar to what they've done before. Some of them looked sleepy, but it didn't hurt the performance.

Damien spoke about using the piano as an instrument: how it's not easy because playing the guitar is like using a club hand and with the piano you have to be more fluid. He also talked about finding songwriting inspiration from Al Gore's movie The Inconvenient Truth, which is kind of funny, and how he got the idea to do a benefit album for the cause of nature, which led him back to writing again.

just watched it. It was good, but I swear I thought either Vyv or Lisa would fall over they seemed so tired. Either tired or pissed off, it was hard to tell. Lisa seemed especially out of it. The performance as a whole was good. It was cute to see a tamborine taped to Tomo's legs during coconut skins, kinda funny. Also, what I'm most excited about is that there good ol' patchwork peeking out of Damo's jacket, which made my morning as well.

Eh, I didn't think it was that good myself. As the other's said, it seemed like the entire band was asleep! In the first shot of Lisa she looks really, really tired. Also Damien's singing wasn't that great either. However, I did enjoy the interviews with him talking about how it is hard to play the piano with his left hand because it's so stiff from gripping the guitar so hard. The Al Gore part was interesting too. Oh, and I noticed the tambourine duck taped to Tomo's legs too! That was pretty funny. He didn't have his whole drum kit there, only a couple hand drums and stuff.

Anyway, I have it recorded so I'll try to put it up on You tube, though it will probably take me a couple days to get it converted and everything.

I see focused, I see magic, I see people completely "lost" in the song....not tired. Maybe some nerves?
It's a stream, so obviously there will be some loss in sound-quality, but go get yourself some new speakers already. Hahaha

It puzzles me how people find all these live concert-recordings not so good and noone mentions the horrible "off-note" from Vyviennes cello in the official Rootless Tree video!?

Look at Lisa's "handwork" at 4.50 - she's living the music!

That's the show which was taped a few brief hours following the infamous Hiro after-party! No wonder they were tired/hungover all were well buzzed during our time together and no one got to bed early that night.

Now whether I think the band employing waterfowl to play their lesser instruments is acceptable practice or not may be quite moot. Affixing le canard to one's leg, however, is just begging Peta to step in.

Thanks for recording. I'd been anxiously awaiting this one since (the night before) they taped it. I remember posting here all about it and when it was going to be on in the new year waaay the heck back in November! So, naturally, when it finally does air:

where am I?

I'm uncharacteristically wide awake (for an early Sunday) lounging leisurely at home in front of my fully activated tv blissfully ignorant that Damo and the Ricetones are simultaneously airing just a few channels over. Might just as well have been

LMAO!

I must've been drunk or working too many nights in a row, 'cause I thought everybody was talking about YOUR stream in the "Headliners"-thread.
Which I think is amazing - thank you for sharing!
It just didn't add up, everybody saying they looked so damn tired and all...

Now, this "Accidents & Emergency"-show - I didn't see it at all, but DAMN they look tired!!!

Sorry guys, I'm still trying to get this thing uploaded for you, but I'm not having much success. I recorded it onto a DVD, but I'm having trouble copying it to my computer....it says that the disk is protected when I try to copy it, even though its just a normal blank DVD. It's strange because I've done it before and its worked fine. Anyway, I'm still trying to get it to work, but it won't be up until after the weekend, if at all.
