I've been to numerous live shows at the Tabernacle and can tell you:

It will be reserved seating. Damien isnt really a stand the whole time concert, its more of a sit and watch the beauty concert.

Meeting Damien shouldnt really be that hard if you wait long enough. If your looking at the front of the Tabernacle from the outside, on the left side of the building is the tour busses, and they they only rope off a small area there. If you wait long enough, you can usually meet people there (if they arent gay and go hide immediately after the show). Also, some groups have been known to hang out at the bar and in the small bar in the venue below the tabernacle. I'm not sure if the venue still operates, but I think the bar does.

Btw, if anyone has one extra ticket anywhere past the seventh row on the floor, let me know i want to get one for my gf. I figured i can pay whatever for a ticket and then trade it with someone at the show thats in my row for a closer row so she can sit with me.

Good luck everyone.
Sean

Do people really still talk like this? Seriously? I was unaware leaving after the show makes you a homosexual.

I noticed you're selling your tickets, what did you end up keeping?

I missed out on the on sale date. It will most likely be my first show since moving to the ATL (a far cry from the NYC music scene down here) so if anyone has a decent pair downstairs they are looking to sell keep me in mind. I'm sure ticketmaster will re-release more the day before the show or I'll find some outside the venue if not.

Ah, wasn't sure how many you'd ended up getting. And I thought before you'd mentioned keeping the balcony so I was just curious.

Well, I have 4 extras now in the balcony. I'm more concerned now with Lisa. It would be such ashame if she really had quit. I know Damien and Lisa could easily stand on their own two feet with their careers, but she adds to much to the presence on stage and overall emotion. Hopefully this is all just internet rumors.

I'm definitely interested in this. I've sent an email your way.

What I find weird about ticketbastard is that the show is not listed as 'sold out' yet. It usually doesn't allow you to check for a certain number of seats if it's sold out. Maybe they're planning on releasing more tickets or have a special internet sale happening somewhere? Am I making any sense?

I feel the same way. And although I'd be bummed to see a show without Lisa, I'd still make the trip to see damien and the rest of his band.

I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but the show is officially listed as "sold out" on the official site. We're in for a full one.

So what are you all thinking about the show now after the news? Any change for you at all? I must admit that I am a bit disappointed that I won't be seeing Lisa there, but that's almost entirely due to her role in certain songs. I'm still very excited, but a part of me wishes I had been to a show in the past for the simple experience. Either way, it comes down to the fact that I bought the ticket to see Damien anyhow.

Naturally, I am saddened over her departure. She was to me a key player in what exactly made Damien's music what it was, made it artistic on a whole new level. She held this dynamic that in Damien's tortured love songs that most likely cannot be replaced. While the point is made that is Damien Rice that has brought us all to his music, it was Lisa that gave it that special touch. I prefer O over 9 due to Lisa's stronger presence on the first album. I am grateful for that fact that was able to see them perform together last December in Philadelphia. As for Atlanta, of course I won't miss the show. Damien is still a top of line performer and emotes something far beyond any of us can explain in words. While, I'm heartbroken of her leaving, I still won't miss a show if he comes in town, with or without her.

Best wishes to Lisa, and she is an angel and deserves success in her own terms this time around. We all know she's fully capable and due for some.

Has anyone gotten any more information about the show? I wasn't able to get my friend to do any investigative work for us, she's not even in the area right now.

If you still have these I will take them. I just moved to Georgia a couple months ago so I'm not too familiar with Lovejoy, but I live in Marietta. I can meet downtown one weekend if that's convenient. My email is TRDW83@gmail.com. Let me know, thanks!

Well, we're getting closer, and I'm getting more impatient. If anybody is up for it and will be around a little while before, or after, the show then perhaps some of us could meet up. Maybe we could even have a beer or so.

I don't mind meeting up before the show; since we don't know if the floor is going to have seats, I'm going to arrive early just in case. As for the beer, I'm underage, but I don't mind if you guys go on without me.

I know there's been confusion but according to Ticketmaster:

This is a RESERVED seating show. Doors open at 7:00pm.

It's in black and white right there, but again, who knows?

Yeah, the only reason I ever had the confusion was that Ticketmaster had conflicting info on their site. So, if they don't anymore (which I haven't checked there) then perhaps that solves the issue.

Yeah, at least initially when they went on sale they did in fact have conflicting statements about the seating situation. That now has seemed to have changed. Again, Ticketmaster isn't always right. It would be nice if the venue would give us some insight. Regardless will be an unreal show.
