Hello Everyone in this very comfy cosy Igloo! I have been frequenting this here forum for awhile now...but haven't introduced myself properly at all. I also was an avid user of the official Damien site but the Igloo has proved far too tempting so I have resigned to stay put with all you lovely people! Iwas at the ANTI-WAR gig on Sat, compliments of the good people at Hotpress! The gig was amazing...arrived at 8pm and caught the start of Christie...Oh my god that set was so incredible...I was close to tears when he did that rendidtion of Johnny Cash's 'Hurt'. All the other people that played were so amazing too;Kila were, as ever, so energetic-got me dancing jigs! The Revs gave so much in their performance:rock your socks off they did indeed!Mundy-what can be said?Another powerful and inspiring set!and the piece de resistance-Damien and Co. less our favourite cellist???Where was Vivienne anyone? The last time(and most recent gig) I had seen them play live had been in Vicar street. The anti-war set was better(I think)because Damien talked to the audience about the songs.Isn't that what really intrigues most people-the stories behind the lyrics, the inspriation? Anyway just wanted to say hello and hope that all you other eskimos that got to either gig would maybe reply about your experiences.Or anyone elsein the igloo who wants to add their 2 cents! Cheers, Amie!***
