Ne1 going on the friday to Witnness?

From what Ive seen on the Witnness web board there will be loads going on the Friday.Any Damien fans going up?I will be leaving Clare at about 3 or 4 hope to be there at about 8. <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley16.gif">

theres not alot to see this year. there are a few good bands but the majority is not to my liking anyway.

Compared to last year the line up isnt that good,but they have practically all the Irish acts there(except Mundy) so it will save me following them around the country for their gigs.Hello?????The White Stripes are there,so that will be a good one.<img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley4.gif">

i think this is the best line up ever... All my favourite artists are playing and ill have barely enough time just to see the irish acts let along catch any of the biggies

Damien Rice, The Frames, Gemma hayes, Paddy Casey, Mark Geary, Bell x1, Jerry fish, need i say more... all i want is for Nina hynes to play tho

From the looks of it we're all going to the same acts so I'm gonna recommend people go to Woodstar.Their right before Bellx1 so its nice and handy.

believe me, dont knock her till u see her live... i heard 2 or 3 of her songs previous to seeing her live and i hated it... thought she just sounded like an indy rock chick trying to do something she couldnt pull off

Staros is a great album altho there are 1 or 2 dodgy songs on it

According to www.mcd.ie Mundy is playing Witnness!<img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley14.gif">Damien isnt before Coldplay any more he's been pushed way down and alot of the schedule seems to have changed. <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley13.gif">

About Nina Hynes. Ill see her live sometime im sure until then ill take your word for it. i just heard the song staros and didnt like it. i had heard alot about her and just made me realise that some artists are way too overated and it just shows the power of influence. but ill make a point of seeing her live to see if my mind can be changed.

I wish i could go down on Friday... Im in work till 7am Saturday mourning so im gonna have to try and get down early on Sat. Cant wait though!!!!!!

well Tom Mcrae is a nice live act saw him preform live this Winter (January) in Vevey (Switzerland) at the rocking chair (a nice 300 Persons venue). god what would i give to go andvisit the Witness festival this year.

I Mean it's impossible to see the irish artists I love here in Switzerland.

exept: Gemma Hayes which i saw last year in Montreux (wow what a Woman, i tell you she's unbelievable live.).

What whould i giveto at least see Damien and Emmett (Tinley) prefom (my two fave-irish-artists)

according to the mcd website,white stripes are only onstage for an hour and the frames have an hour+15mins,seems strange seeing as the white stripes are higher on the bill.
