Hello children. As a special St Patrick's treat, I'm currently uploading the Vicar St gig to mark the launch of O in Jan 2002 to Mario's server. Here's the info file:

..................................

Damien Rice

01-31-02 Vicar St, Dublin, Ireland

Taper: Michaël Serisier

Source: Stereo Mic (Toward back of venue) > Minidisc > Wav > CD

Remaster: EAC > Cool Edit Pro > Hard Limiting 25dB Boost > Wav > SHN (Geoff Hamilton - framesaver@eircom.net)

**DO NOT ENCODE TO MP3 OR OTHER LOSSY FORMATS**

Disc 1

01 intro
02 delicate
03 volcano
04 the professor
05 woman like a man
06 older chests
07 groovin’
08 happy birthday / oh carol (smokie)
09 me my yoke & i
10 song for tomo
11 cold water
12 eskimo

Disc 2

01 sand
02 heaven belongs to you
03 be my husband
04 fool
05 insane
06 acknowledgements
07 amie
08 i remember
09 face
10 applause
11 the blower’s daughter
12 cheers darlin’

Notes from the compiler:

The official launch of O in Ireland, when pretty much everyone in the world who had ever heard of Damien Rice could fit into Vicar Street at once. A packed setlist from an extra-long set. Fun moments include Me, My Yoke & I, "a song by the lads, about the lads, and their lads", the sax version of Cheers Darlin' and the 'dark & depressing' Song For Tomo... The audio quality has been decidedly improved in the remaster, making the off-mic banter and singing much clearer. Great stuff.

It's a great concert, and it's true that "cheers darling" rocks!

I only regret that the talking bits are before the songs, I'd have preferred them on separate tracks, as when Im in my car and want to listen to one song in particular and I can't fast forward, it's a bit annoying. Still a great gig!!

Tis a tad annoying, but that's the way it is I guess. You might want to get your hands on this version though Patricia, as the new remastered version is much clearer to listen to. I'm not sure how widespread the old version is, but with any luck this one should spread pretty quick and replace it in most people's collections.

would you consider seeding this show through Bit Torrent? (or a tree like thehappymundays mentioned) i've been trying to get on Mario's server for the past couple months and i haven't been able to sign on since christmas. it's always full!
