This is probably only of interest to me but I'll post it anyway: IT’S ON! The Millennium Stadium is set to stage the biggest and most important concert of its five year life – TSUNAMI RELIEF CARDIFF. The special fund-raising event, which will feature many of the UK’s best known and loved bands, is aimed at raising £1m for stricken families in south-east Asia. There will be space for up to 65,000 fans to join the party in the Welsh capital and they will be able to enjoy more than six hours of top flight entertainment and join the rest of the world in raising money for those left with so little after the tsunami disaster on Boxing Day. Confirmedartists (with more to follow over the next few days):

Eric Clapton

Feeder

Lemar

Aled Jones

Katherine Jenkins

Badly Drawn Boy()

Embrace

Manic Street Preachers

Snow Patrol
I got my tickets this morning, I can't wait to see BDB |

If three is 3 of 'em, 70,000 people each. Less than 2 hours.

Guys the gig was fantastic! I was about 10 rows from the front it was brilliant! All the bands were amazing. Snow patrol, the manics, keane, embrace, clapton, badly drawn boy, feeder etc etc.. Highlight for me was probably Kelly Jones' solo set and when Feeder played 'Buck Rogers' Did anyone see it on TV? |

yeah, loved the Jools Holland bit with the crowd! And Snow Patrol and Feeder and the Manics sounded great too. Had to change channels during Craig David though . Watched a little bit of Badly Drawn Boy on the internet but the connection kept failing.

hey guys, I watched most of it on tv and thort the manics where really poor think the lead singers throat was playing up. Lemar sounded pretty good. I thort the best by far was kelly jones. On tv he was the only one bang in tune and with only a guitar i was well impressed AND I aint even a big big stereophonics fan. There was at least two strange acts.....Mr Craig David (weird) and Heather Small who has not worked since the 90's....strange choice. Snow Patrol was alot better then i think they are on there dvd. Over all i you could see it was thrown together in a hurry and some of the acts where not quite 100% eg...manics, keane and lemar but there was also some special moments only a rushed event like this can produce. Well done everyone who put it on.

Yeah, the only complaint I have from being there is that the sound wasn't always right. (Badly Drawn Boy had to stop a couple times because his guitar was too loud) And sometimes there were looong breaks between acts. Did any of that show up on TV? |

All they showed on BBC2 was 2 hours of highlights so they'd edited the long breaks out by then. Don't know if that stuff came across on the other BBC channels (was it shown on one of the digital ones??) cos all we get here is BBC 1 and 2.
