Any Jean Pierre Jeunet, Tim Burton, David Lynch, or Baz Lurhman Film. I also love Shawshank Redmption. These are my favorites, because there are so many aspects involved. They're great to sit down and really get into, great plots and stunning visiuals, and they make you sit back and think: "Wow!". I was a film student once, So there you have it.

Dead Man Walking - This one is just painfull to watch. I felt totally empty last time I saw it and it took me days to recover. I dont think I've seen a movie that touched me soo deeply before.

Boondock Saints - It's the Irish accent..!! And a great film..

papillion has to be my all time greatest... steve mc queen and dustin hoffman are two of my idols as an actor.. a film i never ever tire of and one that i can watch endlessly

otherwise i love the beach, maybe due to danny boyle who just has an amazing way of looking at things, but also the story.. i read the book first and fell in love with the story... the film itself dabbled a bit in the book (but isnt that always the way)

Requiem for a dream & pie (sign) due to darren arnolfsky.. who in my humble opinion is one of the greatest directors... his way of telling a story is like no other and his view on life is somewhat similar to mine...

also i have to put in The Dresser... an extremely quirky and hillarious story of an actor and his dresser in war time england... Albert finney in his greatest role as an over the top egocentric actor and Tom Courtenay as the very camp dresser... one that has to be seen to be understood

anyways ill stop now as i could go on forever...

pretty much wes anderson's entire output. (bottle rocket, rushmore, the royal tenenbaums, the life aquatic). i suppose i love them so much because the characters are so human and so flawed, but in ways that could be ordinary if the circumstances surrounding them were not so surreal.

hmmm, that might not makes sense.

have you seen the original italian version? i kinda like the version he made for the non-italian market, but the original italian version is just like 3 über-sentimental hours too long (*overstatement improves understanding*), imo.

good films beevers! especially " Instinct, Because its honest, and shows how Society really doenst accept people who are different!!" i didn't think many people had seen it, it really is lush and reduces humans to what we trully are.

My Girl, is a fine film, and draws a tear or two. Also Dogma is a lush film aswell as silence of the lambs.
i likes, all the Stanly Kubric films, David Lynch, Cohen Brothers, and Quentin Tarentino,
but my favourite film is Donnie Darko. It just sais so so much about life and everything. And when the film finnishes, u just feel as if your life can take on a new level.

i grew up watching the 'original version' (here it was the original), i mean the shorter version. and after the my dvd broke a couple of years ago i bought another copy and it had both versions. one of my friends that knew how much i love the movie told me not to see the director's cut (the long one). i should've listed to him, i hated it. it ruined the movie for me. and i thought how much of a difference can a few more scenes make, it was like watching a complete different movie, more like a soup opera.

i love "big Fish" by tim burton it touched me deeply its such a beautiful story i always cry at the end

ghost- what can i say, excellent film sooo sad yet happy

"return to oz" it reminds me of my childhood (i was terrified of mombi)

"edward Scissorhands" he scared the crap outta me for 3 years after i watched the opening scene of this film! but now i love it

"closer" its a brilliant plot and i felt i was going thru the same experience

"Sister Act 1+2" brilliant!!

"zoolander" one of the funniest films ive seen

"the mask" and pretty much all jim carreys movies!

"almost Famous" i love the story behind it, it seemed so fun!!

i love the monty python films.

another movie i loved growing up was "labyrinth". i love everything about that movie but most of all, of course, david bowie, he was so beautiful as jareth . i still have that movie and i tried to watch it every once in a while. i saw it with my 4 year old cousin a couple of months ago and he only liked the goblin dance scene. lol

that's interesting, cos i saw the director's cut before i saw the original and much preferred the director's cut.

favourite films would be:

the commitments - glen hansard with all that hair!
finding nemo - dory is the best character in a film ever!
monsters, inc - such a good film, boo is soooo cute and the animation's amazing
muppet treasure island - 'it just feels weird, y'know?' 'that mr erroll's dead?' 'yeah. that and my pants are full of starfish'
muppet christmas carol - such a nice take on a classic story
donnie darko - it's scary but it makes you think
legally blonde 1&2 - it's okay for me to be really really girly sometimes!!
ferris bueller's day off - good fun but kinda lags towards the end
empire records - LOVE THIS FILM!!!! soooooooooo funny
love actually - okay so i do like it.... it made me cry last time i saw it
monty python and the holy grail - i've seen it SO many times but it's still so funny. 'i have to push the pram a lot....'

probably my favourite is........

the princess bride - westley *sigh*...... it's such an amazing story, lives up to the book completely. miracle max and fezzik and inigo.... just such classic characters and such a nice film!
