Thank you Cille.

Yes, it should be nice to know if that song is one of the "10 days to Barcelona".

Marti, do you mean this one?

I went through all the videos and I don't think that the new song sounds like any of the '10 Days to Barcelona' songs...

I'm not too sure the new song is from the trip to barcelona..but i remember before he sang it he said, it's the first time he's gonna play it to people and he said its supposed to have drums/percussion and stuff.

didn't get to record what this night is for, but it was fantastic! it's one of my favourite songs of him now!

The song that Damien is playing in the 10 days has only a metronome click as a percussion, and the harmony is quite different

Well, there are a couple of lines where I'm not sure at all, but here goes:

Nothing had a hold on me
I never thought of growing old
'cause nothing had a hold on me
nothing had a hold on me
and everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said what(ever?) they want (?) / everyone said whatever they meant (?) / everyone said, "Whatever. Amen" (?)

you want to be alone (?)
you're all too dumb (???) [i.e., in response to those who said he always wanted to be alone?] / you're all too down (?)

and everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said what(ever?) they want (?) / everyone said whatever they meant (?) / everyone said, "Whatever. Amen" (?)

you hold me down
you hold me down
I never thought of coming home

'cause nothing had a hold on me
nothing had a hold on me
I never thought of growing old
'cause nothing had a hold on me
nothing had a hold on me
and everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said it

everyone said what(ever) they want (?) / everyone said whatever they meant (?) / everyone said, "Whatever. Amen." (?)

you hold me down
you hold me down
and everyone said it
everyone said it
everyone said it

everyone said what(ever) they want (?) / everyone said whatever they meant (?) / everyone said, "Whatever. Amen." (?)

you're only that young (?) [i.e., as if to say that one only has a limited number of years where you're considered to be "young"?]

you're only that young
I never thought of coming home
'cause nothing had a hold on me
nothing had a hold on me
I never thought of growing old
nothing had a hold on me
nothing had a hold on me
too-doo, too-doo, too-doo
too-doo, too-doo, too-doo

Oh! It's a pleasure, eva; no problem. Yeah hey, it wasn't easy! I had to listen quite a few times and, as you can see for this one lyric, there are like three different things I heard! Couldn't be sure at all, yeah.

Hiya, thanks for the vids and pictures.
I came a little too late to the gig because I had to work (I'm an Au Pair) and I was not very confident that I'd get in anyways because I'm neither a student at Trinity nor a member of the Hist. But there was this really nice guard who had let me in when I asked him very politely (and very desperate actually^^). I hope nobody noticed but I, uhm, yeah, have to admit that I started crying when I walked up the staircase and I could hear his voice and the guitarre...I was just so surprised and unbelivably happy to be there...
Well long stoy short: Damien was great as usual and he told us charming stories about rashes, mastrubation and his wish to do his own laundry No, seriously he was great. I totally understand what he means when he feels "weird" (these are my words, I'm bad at summarizing) when people treat him differently, like he is more special than "normal people", a star. You know what I mean? Sorry, I'm really bad at this^^. Anyways, this stuff makes him so sympathetic because he's just like everybody else. & also I share his philosophy that you really don't know anything about life.
I gotta get to bed now but if I remember anything else I'm gonna post it

its pretty clear where he is claiming to be yet also clear what he has been up to! let the judge and jury yield consensus on where you come out on so many topics - from an ecological pledge to a new cd to another charity ball for the queen.........and where was mr damien on arthur's day might have you??!! all I know was sir david gray was appeasing the hoards at whelans! hah!
