Trivia Quiz thread
I've been watching a lot of QI lately, and the recent popularity of the Would you rather...? thread made me want to try this out.
So, the game is: someone asks a question about a nice piece of trivia, preferably from the topic of the Irish music scene we all know and love, and the one to answer correctly gets to ask the next question. Could be fun. So here's the starting one: Which member of the Dublin busking scene recorded a song in Sanskrit?

I like the game, but I have no idea of the answer, even with the help of Google.

hmm I'll go with Ronan ... though I hope I'm not right because I don't have a good follow up question.

Nope, It's not Rónán, but we are talking about a close friend of his.

Nope.
Clue time! He co-wrote one of his most famous songs with Rónán.

Hm... Mic Christopher and Ronan wrote a Mary Janes song together, but that's all I've got.

my second guess was Mic Christopher, but if not then I guess it could be one of the Odlums. Dave maybe? they were in Kila together...

It's not Glen.
Maria, is your guess Mic or an Odlum?

I said it's not Liam, nor Rónán or Glen.

But if Ko210 is not right then my guess is still Dave Odlum.

I wanted a more concrete guess, but this has been going on for long enough. Yep, it was Mic, and the song is the hidden track of Bored of their Laughing.
Ko, it's your turn.

I've kinda got a lot going on over here, so for the sake of moving this trivia along, would anyone like to take my turn?

Do people want to play this? If so, here's another go:
Which Irish musician sings the song that accompanies the opening credits of Anthony Minghella's The Talented Mr. Ripley? (this is easily google-able, so there goes all the hard work )

Sinead is correct as far as the first name goes. But I'll be lenient and let you pass, otherwise this game will never get rolling. The correct answer is Sinead O'Connor, indeed.
Your turn to ask the question now.

I wonder why he never toured Spain? That would be one of the first places I would choose to play. (I'm in love with Spanish films though, and would love to travel there one day.)

have you watched the headliners session: interview + intimate performance.
he said he like spain just to go there to relax and walk in the street like a completly unknown guy and bla bla... but that was back in 2003 (if i am right)... and, also, he finished his last tour by late 2007... maybe he will go there on his next tour (whenever it may happen ).
