Eskimo Friend???

I found out somewhere that the Blower's Daughter is the daughter of Damien's clarinet teacher and I was wondering if there was any signifigance to "Eskimo Friend" What/who is Damien refering to????

Eskimo Friend was written when Damien was trying to force himself to write songs for Juniper. He got so frustrated that he threw a guitar across the room... he then went to check to see if it was broken and the chords he put his fingers on became the first chords of Eskimo Friend. The words just fell out there and then... since Damien said he never tried to force himself to write a song.. it just falls out.. I myself find that this way is the best way. Damien also said that he had a friend that looked quite like and Eskimo and that's where the eskimo reference comes in.

i do.. but that's not where i got it from... i read it in another interview somewhere else.. it's funny that because 'from the cradle to the stage'.. 'from the craddle to the grave'?? is sitting on my desk right now! [img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img].. weird..

its a book that gives little bios and snippets from lots of irish artists, released last yer to raise money for a charity for the blind.

hmmm i dont know where i got this but i thought eskimo friend wassome opera that he sang in english or something....hmmm maybe i made it up or dreamt it
