Yeah, I used just listen to the first 6 songs and then go back to the start...I found that the rest of the album had to grow on you...Now, Cold Water and Eskimo are 2 of my favourites. As for Cheers Darlin I think its cool..Not my favourite, but very good all the same...I prfer it to "Prague" anyway

I love 'Cheers Darlin' and 'Me, My Yoke & I'. It's actually the one's that get overplayed here that I'm not as fond of... like 'Blowers Daughter' and 'Cannonball'. I just have a thing where I get put off songs really easily when they're overplayed.
I rarely listen to the radio because of this and seem to skip heavily played singles on most albums (if I'm not listening to it from start to end).

I'm the exact same. Always tend to skip past the over played ones

I can't think of a song I really didn't like. Er, their rendition of Be My Husband is just okay. But it's amusing they way Damien uses his guitar as a drum, so I like it more for that fact.

My friend is absolutely in love with Cheers Darlin'. It was one of my least favourite songs along with Eskimo, Old Chests and Volcano. But then after listening to the CD for about 3 times...I fell in love with Volcano. Older Chests is now at the top of my list. (With Prague, IRemember and Delicate)Eskimo is still growing on me. Ilike it alot. Lot lot...*drool* And as for Cheers Darlin' I share the same infatuation with it now...as my friend. I love the whole mood it sets, and how he plays with the tapping of the wine glasses and the voices in the beginning...and...I'm rambling. =D

I dunno Cold Water was the first Damo song I heard and I loved it, and still do.

But I'm going to say that my least favourite song is The Professor. Except I like all Damien's song...so I can't choose...and and...*is indecisive* I serioulsy can't choose.

I know my favourites though. *nod nod* Cannon Ball, Older Chests, I Remember and Prague. Everything else is dazzling too...But we already knew that. =DEdited by: idiosynful

Wow... i never thought id hear someone say the professor is their least favourite song

mine is probably the blowers daughter... its been overplayed and plus its one of his weakest songs... repeating "cant take my eyes off you" for 6 or 7 times shows he was really stuck for lyrics

i dont think he was stuck for lyrics at all, the song is about a=obsession and infatuation(i think!)and the chorus emphasises this point!the sheer intensity of his feelings had to be made clear, and the repeatitive nature of the chorus does this! i dont think a one line,"by the way,i cant take my eyes off u!" would have quite cut it!

Yeah i'd agree. It's not like say a Paddy Casey song, where he just over does the repetition too much. I think it works well for that song. That was the first of his songs i heard and couldnt stop humming and whistlingthat part over and over, for weeks until i went out and bought the album.

The first one I heard, and which did *nothing* for me at the time, was The Professor. Like Daragh, I got quite addicted to the Blower's Daughter, which was the second song I heard. I think the Professor still doesn't do much for me, though I now like the lyrics.

Blower's Daughter goes around and around with me, obsession, then indifference, then obsession again! It's usually there or there abouts. How you can actually dislike a Damien song is beyond me. God, I go away for the summer and there are 200,000 new members all with more posts than me! How the feck did that happen!

I WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO SAY IF I HEAR THE BLOWER'S DAUGHTER ONE MORE TIME, I AM GOING TO CHOP OFF A LIMB AND TRY TO BEAT MYSELF SENSELESS WITH IT. ALTHOUGH NO DISRESPECTS TO DAMIEN REGARDING THE SONG.

oh wait, there it goes, my left arm is clearly disattching itself from my body. I see the veins and tendons, and hey! I just found a quater that I swallowed when I was five. I must have gotten caught in my vein...cheers darlin..hmmm; maybe he could have done without it. I hope 'Mooday Mooday' goes on new album or all the stuff everyone else hears (except me!!!) because my computer is a piece of possesed crap! Ha...all this frustration is forcing me to rip off my right leg.

i wouldn't say i hate the blower's daughter, but it is one that i'm getting a little tired of hearing now!!!! but i agree pece, cheers darlin is a work of genius, and it definitely goes to show how even though we all love the same artist, our opinions of the songs vary greatly!!!

Cheers Darlin' is the weakest song on the album in my opinion, but I still wouldn't say that I don't like it. I certainly don't skip it.

At first I wasn't to sure about Cheers Darlin. I've been listening to the CD lately nonstop so it's always on in the background. Usually I raise the volume up for Volcano cause I absolutely adore that song and I leave the volume up for the rest of the CD. Then cheers darlin comes on and towards the end, I practically always jump out of my chair! the cello's cries always scare the heck out of me. But know I love that song (as long as I keep it a little lower or I know it's coming)......other than that, I love all his songs
