In Toronto Damo said he was singing this song for Tomo his drummer. He didn't give the name or if it was his own or a cover. I really like it and would like to know who to praise for it's genius. I'm not sure of the lyrics but here is my guess--- well, i've been here before. i sat on the floor ina grey greyroom . where i stay in all day. i don't eat, but i play with this grey, grey food. desole,if someone ispraying then i might break out. desole, even if i scream i can't scream that loud. i'm all alone again. crawling back home again. stuck by the phone again. yeah, well i've been here before. sat ona floor in a grey, grey mood. where i stay up all night and all that i write is a grey grey tune. pray for me child just for awhile that i might break out ,yeah. pray for me child even a smile would do fornow. i'm all alone again. crawling back home again. stuck by the phone again. but i still got you to be my open door. i 've still got you to be my sandy shore. 'cause i still got you to cross my bridge in this storm. i still got you tokeep me warm.well, i squeeze my grape. and i drink my wine, yeah. if i squeeze my grape. and i drink my wine, yeah, yeah. cause nothing is lost it's frozen in frost. and it's opening time and there's no one in line. i still got me to be your open door. i still got me to be your sandy shore. i still got me to cross your bridge in this storm.and i still got me to keep me warm.warmer than warm, warmer than warm, warmer than warm. it's a great song. please tell me the title and if it is a damien original. But it doesn't really sound like it, does it: "i 've still got you to be my sandy shore. 'cause i still got you to cross my bridge in this storm"?
Maybe from old Juniper days? |

'sandy shore' bit is pretty week, but most of the lyrics arevery emotional. i noticed he changed it from 'candy store' in an earlier version to 'sandy shore' so maybe it will get better as he plays it and experiments. |
