i wasn't trying to diss snl, whatever it is, probably some trl, top of the pops type thing (totp was cool til they dropped the old themetune) if someone mimed on jools holland i'd be pissed off at him and the producers, but something which is so comercially based, which i guess i naively assumed it was, it's not really something to really winge about. it's all the press really.

snl is saturday night live, no!? it's a bit of a legendary show young boy of penguin! i know that and i'm not from america....dunno what the point about snl was but yeh anyway!

saturday night live is a comedy show

and its on guess what time? saturday night and its filmed live if u couldnt tell by the name haha

(taken from imdb.com) When it first started many of the bands were not really heard of but now they have well known main stream artist as well as new upcoming bands. They are probably one of the first shows to make humor of american politics and government officials. Its been on the air since 1975

many great comiedians started on this show: Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Dana Carvey, Billy Crystal, Chris Farley, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Ben Stiller, and tons more

LIVE FROM NEW YORK IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT!!

ah i loved that show (old school esp.) yeah andy kaufman was on a lot and steve martin too... chevy chase, bill murray, gilda radner, jane curtin (the ignorant slut lol) all were original cast members... it gave us the blues brothers and the coneheads and miss emily litella and oh no! mr. bill!

it was such comedy! i guess it's still on but i never catch it anymore.. but the musical guests were always great too.. the one i remember most is when sinead o'connor burned a picture of the pope... controversial that girl!

as for snl, i don't really find it funny. some of the classics were, but not anymore.

Didn't see Ashlee on SNL. But I did watch her performed Pieces of Me on Letterman. She sang live, definitely, because she sounded no way near the recorded version. Not that awful, but not impressive either. Dave complimented more on her looks rather than her talent. Dave Letterman rocks!
