Maybe he likes to relax when he gets home... maybe he has a BIG surprise waiting for us... or maybe, just maybe, he completely forgot

I don't think he likes you lot anymore. You're just TOO Irish for him. He's a Man of the World now.

He hasn't left us out, he's played in Ireland seven times since the start of September, which was co-incidentally, the start of the tour.

They were advertised, there was a four month space where Damien had confirmed his appearance and tickets were onsale. It was called The Electric Picnic, and over the course of the weekend he played no less then five seperate times. There was also two other gigs played in Vicar Street in September, which were cheaper then tickets for The Picnic, they were advertised too, and lastly and most recently he played in St. James' Chapel in Dingle, that was announced here and on RTE before it went on sale to the public.

that's probably stretching it a bit... the dingle tickets sold out in hours, electric picnic was just one (festival) event...

i think a proper irish tour is definitely called for! his last full irish tour was in december 2002.

No Need to get so defensive Bumpman... Thank you admin for clearing that up... I knew about electric picnic..i'm just on about his own gigs - by himself...Never heard of the dingle one...and the ones the vicar street were in August by the way..anyway ya i agree he should do a full irish tour..or i'll settle for 1 big concert somewhere thats advertisied so we all know about it.

I think Damien should buy a forest with a big clearing... and play there by a camp-fire all the time and anyone who wanted to hear him could go and sit for a while We'd all have to wear patchwork shirts though... and care for the little orphan animals that would be running about.

That sounds absolutely great....if only...I'd be happy to be hippy and wear patchwork shirts and love all the orphan animals no problem...anything for our god any day.

And he could call it 'The Large Plant' or 'The Giant Flower' or maybe even 'The Irregularly Sized Patch Of Foliage'.

I was thinking something simpler like... 'the clearing'... it would be both literal, where it is, but also metaphorical, referring to the clearing of his mind and soul...

I still think it'd be something phallic like some of the ones bumpman suggested, or 'big bamboo' or 'the swaying fishing rod' or something along the lines.

Oh, I'm not talking about 'a' gig... I'm talking about permanent residency... kind of like Elvis or Sinatra playing Vegas all the time... He could live in a tent or a cave or something on-site.
