I don't know why, but "She's Not There" by The Zombies is one of my favorites at the moment. I've been in a very oldies mood...

DBoyd, you're my mentor when it comes to music. I always love your clips.
I'm listening a lot to Ben Howard right now. He was the opening act to Angus and Julia Stone when I saw them and I got blown away. I've never seen anyone play guitar like he does. Not in this clip but in other songs. He has his guitar in his knee, using it like a guitar and a drumset all in one. Anyway, Here's London with Ben Howard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GALq1lq1wpo

Took a recommandation from Glen Hansard's twitter and tapped into the work of William Basinski, esp. the disintegration loops.
Good stuff! Almost drives me nuts, but good nuts.

^wow... is that really gonna be on his next album? haha... It's a great cover though. He does an awesome job of making a ****ty pop song pretty decent. My friend uses this as her ring tone and I'm gonna have to wave this in her face. haha
I've been listening to a lot of I'm From Barcelona lately and I never realized how awesome they are till now... I knew of them but I finally got around to getting all their stuff and they are just awesome! I want to see them live so bad now! This is quickly becoming one of my favorites for some reason.... and i never knew that was Soko's voice... interesting! She's awesome too though I'm From Barcelona - Mingus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vmp4Rnm0fI

yes, it's from the next album. i've heard a couple of songs from it. most songs aren't new, only remixes of old songs. i don't really like them. the original songs are far better

I'm not sure the idea behind this album makes sense... an album of covers would have been far better. |

iI don't see it as a new album. it's a remix album. and yes, I agree, totally unnecessary. I don't really like the remixes, he should have gone the other direction, in my opinion, and release a completely acoustic solo live album, that would've been something...
that said, the Katy Perry cover is amazing!!!!! and It's Not True is still one of the best songs EVER, especially live solo acoustic:

I think W Fitzsimmons' songs are a whole lotta nothing. If you took that beard away you'd have..another Jason Mraz. Which is alright, but don't go and pretend it's all...beardy...dude
Oh sorry, that was a rant.
