Right pop (rock/introspective folk) pickers.
Here is your chance to tip acts that most people will have never heard of for greatness. The only prize is to be able to smugly say "I liked them before they were popular" My picks. Lucas - Band from Galway, opened for Damien in December in Vicar St. I've seen them live twice since, they were better both times. Duke Special - Singer songwriter from Belfast.

Hmmmm I'd say Clone,a French local band that plays kind of dub/metal/hip-hop. Really original and pretty good (though I wouldn't buy the CD, I'm pretty sure they'll go far)

The trouble with the music industry is that it'd rather have loads of crap than real talent, with exceptions of course, there's no money in it either, the beatles created it and then oasis and microsoft went and destroyed it!! My tips are many, but i just know that they won't get in unless they're sleeping with someone and even that won't guarantee anything..... am i being bitter??

By no means new but, this is specifically for the lasses. Men seem to love him at first glance. Johnny Cash. lol... I knowwwwwwwwwwwww! Thing is if you're patient and let yourself get used to how particular his voice is and get passed what you wouldn't instinctively like you'll end up loving him to, I think anyway. A friend of mine forced repetitive exposures to him and now I love him. Some songs are SO SO SO much you think your heart will burst. |

Electric Puha. They're mates of mine and are not a band but electronic music producers. They've just released their first album. See: www.electricpuha.com They also have a DJ, VJ, etc., collective called the Puha Hu$tlers. See www.puhahustlers.com |
