hi all,

my server is up and being built up with some shows.

mario is helping me load the shows up!

maybe give it a couple of days. in the meantime, check out some other artists' shows on the site.

I must be dense today. What is the host name? "damienrice.serveftp.net" isn't working for me. I get a "can't resolve host name" error. I use an ftp client. [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

the address you used is right.

make sure pasv mode is off

you can email me your ftp log off-list if you llike.

Hmmm I got into the server but then when I tried to open the directories, it said "550 Access not allowed."

happened to me when trying to download from the uploads directory. guess it has no 'read' permission.

the upload folder doesn't allow downloads -- to prevent anyone from accidentally downloading an incomplete show. i try to keep up with things though. i.e. the 11/21/03 show mentioned above is in the download folder now. it was a great show, so please grab it and spread it around.

use an FTP client (like cuteFTP or ws_ftp)

from there it's easy.

it's quite simple, really. if you're using cuteFTP (trial version) there's a 'quick connect' bar (the one with a lightning icon) there you insert the host name (the address), the username and password.

once logged in (if lucky), you see the list of files and folders available on the host on the right side, and your computer on the right side. to download anything just drag it anywhere you want to. (same goes for uploading).

Grrrr...I was able to connect using xFTP, but it won't let me look at any of the directories. Then when I downloaded another ftp program to try, I couldn't connect. Somebody's got a cruel sense of humor.

Mark, I can't connect to Tony's server with my ftp program (FileZilla) either. I PM'ed Tony and sent him a screen shot of my log on to make sure I hadn't made a stupid mistake...nada, zilch.

I'll have to stick with Mario's.
