Amazing performance. The night was plagued by an obscene number of technical difficulties which Damien jokes about throughout the show. Any pops, feedback, odd sounds, etc are due to the venue and not the preformance or recording. As with all full band Damien shows, levels are extreme. Volume has been slightly adjusted but major variations in volume are as they were at the venue. Never pay for or sell live recordings. If you have any questions or need more info drop me a line. It's really flying now. I downloaded the whole thing in only 2 hours tonight, and there's 8 seeds still up. Has anyone uploaded this to the ftp yet?

it's also up on the ftp now if you'd rather go that route. there are currently 7 seeds and 29 people downloading on the torrent.

Just wanna give major props once again, thanks for taping and hosting this show. I'm gonna put it on as background music to go to sleep to and then give it a good solid listen tomorrow and prolly start b&p-ing this bad boy over the weekend. Thanks for the good work, it's much appreciated! --Mark

How does this torent thing work???? I've registerd with the site and found the gig, but i cant see what there is to start downloading. There's an attachment at the bottom of the first post, but that only takes a sec to dl, and i cant open it cos i dont have the right program. Its probably simple, but im really hungover and tired, so excuse me.

do a google search for bit torrent and you'll find a program.
Once that's installed, you can double click what you just downloaded to get the full show. |

Do i have it working properly??? I've got this basic window that pops up telling me the download and upload speeds (which isnt very fast btw) theres no options to do anything other than click help, and donate money to the designer. I dont see anything about seeds or how many people are downloading at one time. Is the another way/interface i should be using?? Plus my firewall is stopping me downloading anything with it, but it allows uploads from me.Tried punching a hole inthe firewall for just the ports used by bit torrent, but no joy!

Keep it open! I've been sharing this for the past couple of days (except for a few hours when my adsl modem lost the connection), and it's still sharing now.Hopefully you should find some sources - there were a few when I left this morning. |

Well I've got stats displayed on mine, but I'm not using the normal client (can't actually remember the name of it). You can see stats here as well though: http://www.sharingthegroove.org/tracker/mystats.php There seems to be 5 complete sources available at the moment. |

I dont thinkthat that bit torrent is a very effiecient way of sharing files. It uses all 128k of your upload bandwidth (if you have cable modem). Which really slows down your system when doing other things. And the download speed is totally dependant on people who have already downloaded the show, leaving their windows open. Which, understandably, nobody seems to want to do. I've now got 45% of the show, and been stuck on it for days. Every time i try to connect, i get a "tracker error, network is down". Is that just that nobody is leaving their windows open?? Its seems to me that bit torrent just allows the people you get there at the start to get the full show.Edited by: daol20

The client I use is called Burst! Here This not only allows you to see the amount of users but also allows you to throttle the amount of bandwidth bittorrent takes up, however if you do this it can theoretically reduce the rate you recieve at as the two are directly proportional.
I'm currently downloading the file at the moment, when (if) I manage to snag it, (I'm only currently on 20.6%). I need to check out the client I'm using at work on OSX, if all goes well I'd be happy to seed while I'm at work for the next few weeks, between 9am to 5pm GMT, I'd leave it 24 hours, but they make a point of shutting everything down when people leave for the night... best wishes, nick |

Emmett, how long did it take you to download the whole show? Have you been getting errors with the 'tracker' over the past few days? Its just whenever i try, i cant get anywhere. Im stuck on something like 45% for the past few days. And i wasnt getting great speeds in the first place. It was saying it would take 120hrs and there abouts.
