Seriously, what the ****?
Thanks a million, all you bloody missionaries, for spreading superstition to the poorest of all people without giving a ****in' damn about the effects insane bronze-age beliefs will have on people with no hope for getting the slightest education, who therefore actually believe all the bull**** they hear and act on it. And, of course not a single priest will come out and condemn these murderous animals, helping the spread of AIDS just has a much greater priority.

^ Rai, I won't comment, because these issues affecting the African continent just make me passive-aggressive.
But I'll just hug you, o.k.?

^^Thanks for the hug. But I don't understand why you become passive-aggressive, my reaction is just pure aggressiveness
On other news, there was a shooting at one of the universities here in Hungary. There's been only one person killed and three were injured but it's still a big WTF moment, especially since it is almost impossible to get a firearm here.

I gave her gifts of the mind, I gave her the secret sign
That's known to the artists who have known The true gods of sound and stone And word and tint, without stint, I gave her poems to sing With her own name there, and her own dark hair Like a cloud over fields of may.

thanks, guys. i already had some chicken soup and i'm having lots of herbal tea - yummy! and i'm trying not to talk too much for the next couple of days. so i should be alright. it's just so typical. or maybe it's just the messiah, that we're singing. i think in 2005 when we did it the last time, i got sick as well....

^^ Hope you feel better Jo! Get plenty of rest.
Ships - it's cold here too! I was shocked when I stepped outside this morning, I wasn't expecting it to be that cold. None of my winter coats fit over my big belly so I guess I'll be borrowing one of hubby's |

2nd exam in t-minus 30 minutes, and first one to be worth 100% of my grade. Rumor has it that the highest raw score on last year's exam was 52%, with everyone being put on the curve accordingly. I don't think it's humanly possible to be more freaked out than I am right now. H*ly Sh*t.

I... have no idea! I think I only got about half of the things he wanted us to get, but if he's designed the exam the same way this year as he has in the past, then I should still be in line for an A (or a B, at the very least -- a 45% on last year's exam got you a B. I should have hit at least that!)
I think this is officially the stupidest way to evaluate a course. UGH. 2 down, 2 more to go (but these should be considerably easier) Hope everyone else is doing well today |

^hah that reminds me of my professor for structures. You would think that in architecture a course about structural systems should be thorough and understandable, but no. He makes it super complicated, and issues only one test at the end of the year, in which we are given 3 hours to complete about 200 questions. Its obviously impossible, yet I still got an A at the end even though I only answered about 13 hah. I'm going to be a great architect!
So, basically Shar, you're going to be fine!

^ ah! that's brutal too. but congrats on the A, let's hope I have luck that good
Also, what's got me down: is there no ESKMAS 2009 this year? Or... have I completely just missed the signing-up-time while buried under this school-induced haze? |

It's a little late to do one now, but maybe we could do a New Years gift exchange? Get 2010 off to a good start? I nominate Marti to arrange this again
