Man, after reading several of these posts I realize that there are a ton of Damien songs that I have yet to hear. After I bought "O", I don't think that I listened to any of my other albums for a week. I think that my favorite song or songs would have to be...Blower's Daughter and I really really like Cheer's Darlin. Blower's Daughter is just an amazing song completely through and when Lisa comes in toward the end, I find it so moving. And in Cheer's Darlin, I actually picture him drunk and being just way too emotional in the song. The end though captures the feeling of the song I feel. Wow, I seemed to write a lot right there. Oh well, the cd freakin rocks.

So far I haven't heard much others from Damien except the ones on "O", so I gotta pick my favouritefrom those.. and that is pretty damn hard to do. I describe them as being beyond breathtaking, and that really goes for all of them.. But if I have to choose, I think I go for Cannonball. In that song Damien sings out loud my mind. It's amazing. |

My favorite hands down has got to be "Cold Water." That has to be the most beautiful piece of complex simplicity I have ever had the pleasure of listening to and trying to play myself. I love everything by Damian but that song just does it for me! I am also a bit jealous of all of you from Ireland who are lucky enough to hear Damians unreleased songs, man, I wish! I hope he becomes more popular in the states! and Damian, if you are listening, PLEASE come to Florida!!! no one great ever comes here (not that I blame you) but Im stuck here and I would LOVE to see you! |
