Damien in the Sunday Times

In today's (Aug 31st) Sunday Times, they've started providing a free CD with the paper. The idea being that it gives you a far better idea of films and music they're reviewing through full trailers and samples of several songs.
'O' was one of the albums featured today, and this CD could provide a major platform for Damien to get out there in the UK. It has 6 20 second clips of songs from the album, that you almost stumble into listening... meaning even the lazy people get hit [img]smileys/smiley14.gif[/img]

I hated the review though. The reviewer says he sounds like David Gray and I'm not a big fan of David Gray. I think that's just lazy categorisation, presumably from someone who's not a fan of the genre.
I'm not a fan of music reviews in general though, so I don't pay much attention. Music is too subjective to rate for a large audience.

ouch, did not look like a good review. I thought America had foul critics...thinking twice.

still in all tho as you said even the lazy people will hear it thats good enough. i read once that damien said he wanted people to hear his music through friends thats how he found out about the best music(doesnt everybody say that tho) i dont know if he'd be too happy-esp with a crappy review

very well-said, I do not listen to reviews solely for those reasons. The best way to discover music is on your own and or through friends. I found Damien and this site all on my own

Yeah, lets get more pics of Lisa on this site... people, take those pics out from under your pillows for a few minutes and scan them in for the rest of us!
