It used to be called The Blower's Daughter Part II, it first showed up in June of '03 and that was what he always called it. When the album was announced the spot where The Blower's Daughter Part II was supposed to be (the third song on the album) had a song called Elephant there. 9 Crimes is explained by Damien on the video's page in this site so that's probably the best person to hear it from. I'm sure you're not the only one who cried when you first heard Accidental Babies, but it doesn't change your sad-git-ness.
There's a link to all of Damien's WFUV performances here, it has the first ever performance of Elephant on there.

Fellow eskimos discussed the meaning of the song in this thread:
http://eskimofriends.com/forum/showt...ghlight=crimes Spamlet's explanation can give you a better understanding, or at least another way to look at the song. |

^ I have a question: Why are you incapable of giving a valid reason for your dislike of Damien?
And if you think he 'sucks', why are you on a fan site? |

Oh no, someone's saying something bad about Damien! Whatever are we to do? I'm so shocked I think I'll faint.

No, not at all, i'm just curious as to why. Just saying he sucks, leaves it as a bit of a mystery is all.

I guess we'll never know, it appears he/she's been banned.
(Also, I wasn't directing the sarcasm at you.)

Their complete interruption of the thread topic with "why does damien rice suck so much" leads me to believe they didn't sign up to do anything but incite arguments and cause trouble.

ahhh whatever, everybody´s free and if he/she wants to bug around, maybe he/she doesn´t have anything better to do...leave the poor guy/girl alone.
It would be nice if we can get some straight arguments though. Are you capable of that EskimoFag? see? it rhymes and all...

Yeah, that's what i was trying to do, get a decent discussion out of them! I mean, i can think of certain parts, although i still like them, that i might change but it's all to do with personal preference. It would have been interesting to know what element of Damien's music eskimofag didn't like. Ah well.
Oh i see Bump; sarcasm is hard to read and to direct on the internet. =P |

Right. A difference in opinion or preference, or even a good discussion is great. No problem with someone not liking music that others like. I'm just thinking that "eskimofag"s approach didn't really convince me he was here to have discussion
