Glen & Damien Song
hey folks
I went to see The Frames on Saturday night (f-ing amazing show!), but Glen came out for the encore and did a song that he said he wrote with Damien. I believe it was called 'Leave' Really good stuff, started mellow but then got going especially when the Frames violinist came out for a bit to rock the end of the song. Does anyone have a copy of this song? or has heard it live? I'm kind of interested to see if The Frames will take it as their song or maybe it'll appear on Damien's new album. The elusive album. by the way, the Frames are going to be a huge force in American music very soon (I realize they're already huge in Ireland and beyond, but sometimes we Americans are slow to react). liam. |

I posted about this song a few weeks ago after I saw The Frames in LA. Glen played that song. It was great.
I asked him about it after the show, and he said that he and Damien were writing together - they're writing some songs for a movie, so perhaps "Leave" is one of the movie songs. He said the movie has yet to be made.

It's probably the same song Jenn. He did it solo - it was slow but passionate/angry at some points.

Leave song
I have a boot of the Frames show from Chicago where this was played. have an extra copy so am willing to send it to anyone in the U.S. (US only due to mailing costs) who wants it. I am going on vacation in a few days so can't be making lots of copies unfortunately at the moment, but would love to pass on the show to one person who can then distribute, if you want.
Listening to the song at work, these are basically the lyrics I can come up with based on Glen singing them. He gets all impassioned towards the end, as he usually does. Sounds great. These may be wrong, but hope it helps with questions about the song. Oh, and this is myfirst post here ever so if I am breaking any rules, I apologize. I know The Frames are ok with trading so hope my offer is ok. Simply email me at gisele13@gmail.com. First to email who can pass along to others gets it. Just email me your address and I will put it in the post this week (do not worry about blanks or postage). I would love to respond to all and I am usually nicer about this, but again, have some serious work to finish up before vacation and time is tight! So if I don't get back to you, sorry!! Again, apologies that can only send one copy due to life/tme constraints at the moment. --gisele ----------------------------------------------- possible lyrics to: Leave I won’t wait forever is all that you said before you stood up You won’t disappoint me I can do that myself, but I’m glad that you’ve come. And if you don’t mind, leave, leave And please yourself at the same time Leave, leave I don’t understand, you’ve already gone And I hope you feel better now that it’s out What took you so long? And the truth has a habit of falling out of your mouth But not that it’s come, if you don’t mind, Leave, leave And free yourself at the same time Leave, leave [song really builds up here] Let go of my hand, you said what you have to, so leave, leave. let go of my hand, you said what you came to, so leave, leave. Oh leave, leave, let go of my hand, you said what you have to. Now leave, leaaavvvve lalalalalalala, ohhh...oh, oh, oh lalalalalalala, ohhh...oh, oh, oh la, ah, la, ah...oh, oh. la, ah, la, ah...oh, oh. oh, oh... |

Anyone make an mp3 of it? PM me if yes. I don't believe my comp will play a "flac" file...

If your computer is capable of playing Mp3s, it can play FLACs...
Winamp will play them or use google to find another program, don't be so lazy

boo to mp3's tho c'mon ppl flac isn't that hard... i listened to it and it's a good song. it does sound v. damien-esque... i was almost falling in love with glen's voice again at the first (we had a little falling out in minneapolis) but he took it too far over the top toward the end imo... |

I don't use winamp I just use the media player and besides those lossless format files are friggin' huge (11 megs for a 3 minute song?) and I'm running low on disc space...
So a big ol' thank you to the mp3 maker!!!
