i saw the northern lights!

we heard tonight that you could see the northern lights tonight, so
myself, my sister and her boyfriend jumped into his car and drove up
kerry pike/inishannon direction and lo and behold, i saw two flashes of
green light jump up and back down behind a hill. it took ages to get up
there, they were tiny and it lasted about two seconds but it was f**kin
worth it..

I was gonna post a thread about this last night but got sidetracked. I get email from NASA (oooh[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]) that lets you know when there are solar storms and sunspots etc. that cause the auroras to appear.

My daughter and I looked for them last night but didn't see a thing, tho her friend was out for two hours the night before watching them. It's a treat for us cos we're fairly south of seeing them most of the time. I've never seen them and it's always been one of my dreams. [img]smileys/smiley19.gif[/img]

yeah i live in indiana and apparently u were able to see them from here,
but i didnt know about this until the morning after [img]smileys/smiley19.gif[/img]
