Really good to hear how The Greatest Bastard is evolving as a song - it was good before but now it's sounding like the finished article. Surprised it's taken him almost four years to add this new section though - he sure doesn't like to do things in a hurry, does he?

Aggh! It sounds like friggin' Ed Sheeran! What've you done Damien?! Don't sound like that bloke: he's artistically destitute. That is not a market you want to be exploiting!

That chorus sounds really shoe horned in there. Such a shame: the alternate verse was really beautiful about 'the dream'. Man, this is why live versions are a double edged blade.

I like a lot about the song, but I have my own reservations about the 'greatest bastard' line. It simplifies things too much and sounds somewhat too spiteful for my taste. Still, there are some beautiful lines in there, and it certainly is a wonderful tune.
