does anyone know when damien will be touring the Uk once more? although I saw him at glastonbury, I missed his last gigs and really wanna see him again real soon. I havn't really looked to find out but if any of you know, tell me!! cheers x

he's taking the summer off, then in sept/nov i think he's going to tour australia (which shouldn't take too long really).

After that nobody really knows, except that his new album is *supposed* to be out in February(ish).

He could do a few gigs in Dec/Jan. I'd guess that he'd be staying around Ireland/England at that time if he is trying to organise the new album.

So maybe then... if you're lucky!

Didn't he says since that the new album will decide itself when it will happen? So we could be waiting years yet...

I certainly wouldn't expect a tour in the UK this year...

yeah, you're right, just re-reading my post now, it seems much more definite than i meant it to sound.

he did hint that he'd like to have it out in Feb 2005, 3 years after O was released. Of course, it does depend entirely on whether or not he's in the mood.

i wouldn't expect a tour this year either, i was just saying that it's possible that he'd play a couple of sporadic gigs in ireland in dec/jan and maybe even one in england (thinking he might be over there recording the album).

I really hope he does tour again, by the way im Aoife just joined this been a fan of Damien for about 2 years what can I say he is amazin and I love him he is just the best ever ever amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems to me that the reason for the album not coming out yet is he has becasue he has a label on his back.

Well, that's what I meant. They have delayed the release against his wishess already, and they are not going to wait five years for Damien to make the next one. They are milking 'O' for every penny it's worth but you can bet your *&^ they are going to make sure their revue keeps coming in. That's the way the penny rolls.

He's with Vector Recordings in the US. From what I recall the label was formed explicitely to promote Damien. It was founded by twoseasoned music business executives that had prominent positions with major labels before. (There was an article about that in Billboard Magazine last year.)

In the UK, 'O' seems to be distributed by East West Records, the same label that distributes David Gray's 'White Ladder' (from what I see at amazon.uk).

David Gray and Damien also share management, FWIW.
