This is a really newbie question I bet... but on TAB's when it says some thing like:

"5th Fret Capo"

What does it mean?

Capos are great because if a song isn't in your key you can transpose up or down so it suits your voice better. Some songs are easier to play when capoed too, I think. Shubbs are the best capos! [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

I can't live without one, this one looks far better than mine but i haven't seen this brand anywhere.....

how do those shubbs work - do you just squeeze some how, or do you need to turn the screw?

you need to turn the screw only the first time you put it on your
guitar! it's to adjust it on your guitar neck! you can find some

a capo is the thing you put on the guitar's neck. damien has got one on here:

(pretty close to his left hand)

man his guitar is busted up! but ya as people have said, get a good capo, they dont cost much ,15-20 bucks, they'll last u a long ass time...ive had both the dunlop and the kyser quick change...the kyser fits a bit tighter, thats really the diff other than the kyser looks cool and ALOT of artists use it, as with capos that u can adjust the strength..pfft too much work, kysers are good, alot of pros use it..GET IT

i have a kyser and i find it really hard to take it off and on. But i know its a good thing that it fits so damn tight.

Personally, I like a kyser capo.

Can be kept easily on the Haedstock whereas the Shubb is a little more fiddly.

^ I don't like those cos they stick up and feel like they get in my way while I'm playing. Ibought one onceand took it back and exhanged it for a Shubb.

I kinda feel like they get in the way too and they seem to have too much pressure.......but that's what I have right now!
