I'm sure nobody is going to get the cops called on them for waiting on a concert. I'm also sure that this is not the first concert in the history of Warsaw where someone wants to show up more than an hour early. Common sense and courtesy will prevail, I guarantee it. I'm sure people will show up, scope out the area, and probably move on to do other things for a while or wander the neighborhood. McCarren Park is super close if the weather's still nice. Take a walk to Williamsburg. Get a drink/dinner. Check out Rough Trade Records. Provided Damien is feeling better, we're all going to have a great time.

No news is good news, I guess?
I am leaving from VA tonight after work. I figure by then The Box show will be confirmed or cancelled. Either way, I'm headed up there but at least I'll have an idea of what to expect. For what it's worth, I will probably line up an hour or so before doors. I imagine that if lining up for shows was an issue at Warsaw then they would post a suggested time to arrive, and a heavy suggestion to NOT line up before then. I REALLY want to check out Brooklyn Brewery since they make one of my favorite beers and it's hard to find down here. And if the show is cancelled then I'll hit up TKTS and stuff myself with Broadway shows that whole weekend. Once is still showing and it is a FABULOUS performance so I would love to see it again with another cast. I am WICKED excited for this show and I've hardly thought of anything since the whole ticket frenzy! Took a day off, kids and dogs are with the ex, have a place to stay and I just got paid. YAAAAAAYYYYY! |

Since I'm at work and don't really have time to dash home, I can say with authority that I will be in a grey dress with purple knit tights (and a purple jacket). If you see me, feel free to say hi! My name is Casey, for the record.

I'll be there tonight. Navy pants, grey and black floral top and brown jacket.
Feel free to say hi Edit - - Is anyone there already? I know doors are late for tonight's show and I'd like to grab a bite to eat first, but don't want to risk getting there too late and being way back in the line. Last edited by luna245; 10-17-2014 at 08:23 PM. |

well I can't say I agree with the notion that Damien fans are a mellow bunch.
Packed in like sardines, people were literally pushing me - hands and elbows. |

Yeah, it was The Box.
A lovely woman near me in the cluster**** you couldn't call a line was waiting on her daughter. When her daughter showed, she said she was next to Glen in the outside line. I was hoping he'd play, but three songs! What a joy. I've seen Glen play every year since I've moved to New York, whether or not he was actually billed to play a show. Great sound, great performances, not so great crowd. I don't know if people were mad about waiting a little late or drunk from the bar or what, but such aggression. Shoving, shouting about whether or not to sing. It kind of mellowed out towards the end, but eek, some tension. Damien seemed bemused by it. For those not there, he said he's feeling much better. He gave us a very graphic description of having fluid sucked out of his ear, complete with sound effects. |

That was unreal! Overall a rather rowdy (and rude!) group, especially compared with Thursday night. The people directly around us were awesome though. Love Glen...Hallelujah was amazing, but would've been better if there was less cheering so we could actually hear the first verse. Damien went on over 30 mins late and was much less chatty than last night, but such a great show! Woman Like A Man was so freakin' intense!

It's not too far from his old stomping ground, so maybe/hopefully!
Oh, sorry I didn't get to meet any of you from here. I arrived around 6:40, and the bar was already packed. I didn't see any familiar sounding outfits, and I had no reception on my phone. Maybe tomorrow. |
