I may have lost the archive.

I had lossless versions of every show being traded, about 60gb worth, on an external hard drive.

The device is, to say the least, being problematic.

It appears to be operating internally, but no computers recognize it when plugged in via USB. I have an IT department at a school a friend works at diagnosing for me.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Mario, this happened to me recently on every PC I plugged my external hard drive to. However, I connected it to a Mac and it did detect it. When I tried to open it, it showed up blank (none of my files appeared), but then I just grabbed a ".txt" (text file) that was on the desktop and copied it to the external hard drive (I dragged it from the desktop to the hard drive). All of a sudden all my files re-appeared!!

Maybe you could give this a try and see if it works for you.

I hope that you are able to recover the files Mario, and do try hooking it up to a Mac like eskimo prague suggested if all else fails.

If unfortunately you are unable to recover everything, please know that I'd be willing to EAC whatever I might have for you to help rebuild the archive. If memory serves, I believe that I have archived onto DVD+R the FLACS from quite a few of the Damo shows I have.

to get them, download a torernt client (the one I use, the best one, in my opinion is utorrent www.utorrent.com)
then go to the torrent hosting sites like

www.dimeadozen.org (you have to regishter)

and search "damien rice"
tons of stuff will appear
