I fooking knew it! He's so much like a man. I heard it was about a friend of his though.

out of topic: is that how you say it in english? we say "if i had wheels, i would be a bicicle" (si tuviera ruedas, sería bicicleta, hahaha, i LOVE that expression and i use it a lot! and some friends of mine say: "as verena says, si tuviera...", lol!).
sorry, i just got emotional, hehe, you can back on topic now

^I have no idea, I made it up from the Hungarian saying "If aunt Mary had wheels, she'd be the tractor" which I thought to be tad overcomplicated.

So clearly damien was frustrated working on 9, asking this and that person, 'what do you think about this/that song...ok??
ME MY YOKE AND I....who was the person who "OK'd" that piece of garbage and if u think it isn't garbage, it doesen't belong on 9 SLEEP DONT WEEP..... who OK'd that garbage, and thats exactly what it is ROOTLESS TREE...FUFUFUFU...and that one?, The piano version is great however these songs turned a decent album to average or below did he ask anyone about: Sand? U Shouldnt be here insane Fool..among many others and I could go on and on, But 9 could have been as good as O based on his material he has, and it wasnt...and to go far back as 1990's for YOKE...what the hell...... |

Considering how often he played Rootless Tree on tour (he also played it for Abbey Road), I'd say it wasn't included on the list of songs he wasn't pleased with from 9. Me, My Yoke and I was performed quite a bit too, wasn't it?

i'm here, how are you lovely julia? i still need yoga and cigar smoking lessons
yay for the patchwork! i'm kind of speechless about the interview.. that's a lot to take in.. i can't figure out his motivation for putting that all out there, except maybe he wanted to get the whole thing off his chest? his openness and honesty makes me respect him even more, though. that couldn't have been easy.. |

Great interview although i don't understand all the personal admissions. Is this his way of justifying what he did to Lisa?I'm sure someone has passed this on to Lisa and she's probably not to happy about it.I agree if you took off Me,My Yoke and Sleep and replaced with Sand,Insane,or Fool "9" would have gone from good to excellent!

after reading it, I felt almost messed up that I knew so much. I tried to listen to some songs that night, and my head was just so full of everything he said. now as I'm listening, I keep wondering "is this about lisa???"....

it is one of his best songs live when he loops in from volcano and throws the distortion on and gets all metal ______________________ I am singing at the party, I am singing it's my turn to sing, at the party. I just got the magazine delivered, they're very fast shipping it, took less than a week...
it's nice to read it in paper one thing I don't get is all the talk about him only wanting to do 1 album... think it's a bit of a lie (imho) cos since day one he was talking about album 2 (and sometimes even album 3) in interviews and concerts...

i (obviously!) can´t speak for him, but maybe that´s what he felt when he started to think about of making a record (just one), and then he got excited about all process of really recording an album (and letting all those things out of his system)... and after that, well, we all know what happened.
or maybe yes, it a bit of a lie i´m not an artist (in any sense), so i have no idea about all the feelings and thoughts and emotions that just make you (and not only they being part of you). ok, silly thoughts, but that´s what came to my mind

I think he did't play dogs in the tour not becouse he doesn't like the song.
If you want to play dogs you have to tune the guitar in a complete different tunning, and you know Damien is too lazy to gig with two guitars :-) I prefer to beleive that becouse I love dogs. |

Well having roadies who can tune the guitar for you eliminates the lazy excuse for not playing the song though, right?

The tune used in dogs is very unusual, so you have to tune the guitar a couple of times before it stays in tune, and back again to the standard tune. I've heard dogs in live, it was in a tv show, and it was the only song to play. I even think that he could have used different gauges for this song in his guitar. |
